Have a loss on his record against Montell Griffin but Bowe doesnt against Buster Mathis

and also Abraham got the L against Dirrell - why does Bowe get special treatment??

It's a bit weird IMO to call it a loss when his opponent was slumped against the ropes. A NC by DQ would have been more appropriate but I don't know how that would work with governing bodies and such.

Because Larry Hazzard, New Jersey commisioner, wanted to please Rock Newman and Bowe, and advised Mercante, the referee, to call it an "NC" instead of a "DQ".

    Corruption. Favouritism.

Thats the point, Bowe is gifted a NC whereas others fighters are DQ'ed

Maybe we should regard Bowe Golota as a NC

Yeah there's loads of examples of fighters being hit when down with no consequence. This one was one of the more obvious ones.

Wow utterly disgusting and embarrassing for Lennox. He should have been DQed and suspended. As far as I'm concerned now, he has 3 losses, not 2.

Thanks for that - I think that if Acey was unable to continue Lewis would have been DQ'ed.
Whereas the otherfights mentioned the illegal blow ended the fight.

Lewis should have been DQ'd against Grant and Bruno for holding their heads with one arm and punching them with the other. He setup both knockout wins by fouling like that.

Lewis was a nasty dirty fighter, for sure.
The incident in the Acey fight is horrendous. (Lewis actually hit Ruddock while he was down too. Seems like something he never learned or wished to control)

I thought his KO of Grant was quite awful too.

Boxing's a rough game though, I s'ppose. Even some of the greatest fighters do some of the nastiest foulest things.

I abhore the favouritism and double-standards in these cases rather than the actual foul. We all know that if Mike Acey had somehow gotten Lewis on the canvas (legit KD or slip, dont matter) and unloaded a barrage of punches on him, he would have been DQ'd and Lewis would have been awarded the fight.

Norris could clearly see Leonard was down and still ran across the ring to hit him again.Should have been a DQ for stupidity it was so blatant,Terry had history for this sort of stuff as well.

Not saying it would've made a difference to the result but still...

George Foreman v. Jose "King" Roman was blatant too.
    Should have been a DQ.

Wrong.....at the 1min 20sec mark "In the video below", Lennox Lewis lands a left hook. The fight is over from this point on..!!!! protect yourself at all times, people don't give Lennox Lewis credit. But he was a savage savage man, when he was in a offensive mood..............savage. Sick ******* has alittle smile on his face, just after he lands that left hook............Lennox is smiles afew times in his fight against Bruno. The way i saw the fight was that as soon as Lennox Lewis went through the gears it was over, by no means did Bruno ever really have Lennox Lewis in big trouble. Lennox Lewis was not assed to take a punch when he fought Bruno, thats why he was wild and stubborn inside of the ring..............quite a athlete aswell.

Dangerous the way Lewis was throwing them bombs, like he was swinging a baseball bat. Dangerous times for Bruno...!
