Just had a look on PP and Martinez - Burns under 9.5 rounds is 11/5

That could be worth a tenner to make the start of the new boxing season a little more exciting.

just looking at a rotherham win at 3.10/1

rotherham have been playing well and are still unbeaten with 3 wins and a draw and have shown they can fight back when they are down after coming back from 3-1 to win 6 - 4. Rotherham haven't conceded on their travels yet either (still early i know) I fancy them for promotion this year.

Ricky Burns to win by technical decision is 100/1. I think most expect him to start off well and people have been mentioning the scar tissue around Martinez' eye. Worth a £1 I think?

TFFP what you think about todays matches? I like the underdogs today having little parlays and bets on the following:

    Montanes 5/4 to beat Nishikori
    Tipsarevic 5/6 to beat Monfils
    Anderson 28/11 to beat Gasquet
    Melzer 5/4 to beat Ferrero.

Lads, how do the Super League play-offs work?

My understanding is first play second and the winner goes to the Grand Final, the loser plays the best of the rest, is this right?

The best of the rest is determind by -

    Winner of 3 v 4

    Plays

    Winner of the 'bottom' four.

    5vs8 & 6vs7 and the winners play.

Am I close or talking bolloxs?

In this new (completely ****ing ******ed ) top 8 system.... assuming the highest placed team wins every match....

    Week 1

    1 vs 4
    2 vs 3

    5 vs 8 - losers out
    6 vs 7 - losers out

    Week 2

    3 vs 6
    4 vs 5

    Week 3

1 vs either 3 or 4 (they choose)
    2 vs whoever 1 ''ducks''

    Grand Final

    Winner vs Winner

    :good

Yours was the top 5, which was the best.

    Week 1

    2 vs 3 - winner plays 1, loser plays winner of 4 vs 5
    4 vs 5 - loser out

    1 has week off

    Week 2

1 vs winner of 2 vs 3, winner into final
Loser of 2 vs 3 plays winner of 4 vs 5

    Week 3

Loser of top game plays winner of bottom game

    Week 4

    Grand Final

Sorry I'm too late to see that.

Kohlschreiber pissed me off. 2-1 up and totally tanked. I was confident he'd win from that position the way he was playing so I only laid to cover my original investment rather than ensure a profit. Ah well.

Would be surprised if Melzer beats Juan Carlos. He's been scraping through so far and looks jaded in general since his French exploits. Ferrero should be too much for him.

Monfils is the most annoying **** to back against - such a jammy *******. When you back him he makes a mess of things. Make a point to stay away from him.

If we don't win it (which we won't) I'd like either them or Wigan to win it.

The game needs a strong Wigan side really..... and also for the Welsh side to do well, plus I've always liked Brian Noble as a coach.

I'm surprised how well Gareth Thomas has done, given that when he switched over he looked ready for the knackers yard (no pun intended).

Mate the Tipsarevic Monfils watch watch like watching a pair of clowns preform at the circus, I have backed Monfils twice in my life lost both I have now backed against him three times each time he has won :rofl. Ah well lol

I can see what your saying with Ferrero but Ferrero at 8/13 is dodgy for me he can blow hot and cold now he is getting on, Suppose I backed odds here and bit of value I think. :huh

But hey only small stakes so not to bad not really got alot of money spare at the mo so just playing around really but still would like to at least break even.

TTTP and you mate what your thoughts on Youzhny v Isner tomorrow?
