If Sturm threw more combinations, he'd be an awesome fighter. He can get boring to watch when he just uses the jab and blocks. If he mixed his punches more, he'd also be stopping opponents like Lorenzo.

    Round 9

Lorenzo is basically running after a few brief exchanges early in the round. Sturm follows and jabs but isn't cutting the ring off very quickly. Lorenzo fights off the ropes and keeps Sturm from closing in with several jabs and a hook reaching around to the body that lands but doesn't bother Sturm visibly. Lorenzo slaps with his lead right to the ear of Sturm. Lorenzo suddenly brings the right around as an uppercut and puts it square in the midsection of Sturm. Lorenzo is now blocking the jabs of Sturm as he lays on the ropes and anticipates the champion's advance. Right hand distracts Sturm while Lorenzo double hooks the body.

I might give that to Lorenzo.

    87-84 Felix Sturm

Lorenzo just doesnt throw the jab with any conviction, he flicks it out there hoping that it just gets through and only hitting glove. he isnt going to win a a jabbing contest. When Lorezno goes to the body he scores, he needs 2x the body shots he is throwing to win these rds. Sturm is taking this rd off it seems. Sturm took this rd off, not doing much.
    10-9 Lorenzo
    87-84 Sturm

He is afraid of another Castillejo debacle. He tried this against him and got knocked out after beeing wide in front on the cards ...

Yay i'm impress by Pacquiao for might win 9 titles in 9 different weight class in which 4 were against easy opponent in David Diaz. Overrated as hell in which he was never very good in Ricky Fatton. 145 pounds vs Cotto in of course a bs catchweight. And likely beat a damage good cheater Margarito. But if Lorenzo wins, Pac might fight him at a catchweight to win his 9th title in a mismatch? Yea making history allright. Armstrong is rolling over his grave at this moment.

    Round 10

Lorenzo has his head snapped by a few jabs. Lorenzo is dragging himself around the ring. Sturm steps in and unleashes a rare combo that the house approves of. Lorenzo circles away and flicks a jab, and clinches. Soft 1-2 from Lorenzo is blocked. A reaching body hook lands but Sturm makes no attempt to do anything about it. Lorenzo keeps his hands moving while backing up but can't penetrate the shell. Sturm with a jab and a right uppercut, then another very stiff jab as the gloves waver. Lorenzo leans forward and taps the body on the inside. Sturm follows as Lorenzo shimmies around. Sturm lands a few jabs and then a body shot to end the round.

    10-9 Sturm

    97-93 Sturm

Sturm starts off with a feint, and a poor feint it is. He only has been throwing the one punch, the left jab. Lorenzo landing a few straight rights between the high guard early. Sturm only throws the jab again this rd. he is very one dimensional. Lorenzo landed a few hard clean rights. Cant nod sturm that rd for only jabbing.
    10-9 Lorenzo
    96-94 Sturm

He doesn't have to worry about that. He doesn't have to go wild with his punches, but just throw crisp 3 punch combos. If the jab is landing on his opponent, that means that he's open for the following rights and hooks. When you get smacked in the face with a jab, it's hard to see the right and counter.

What about body shots and right hooks by Sturm?
