All true but it´s a psychological thing not a logic one.

    Round 11

Lorenzo puts his hips into the 1-2, repeating it as it seems to slow Sturm down. Sturm throws single jabs and follows with his hands up. One right hand from Sturm breaks the mold. Lorenzo lays on the ropes and gets double jabbed in the face. Again Sturm jabs Lorenzo hard enough to send his upper back bouncing off the rubber encasing. Lorenzo flurries with waving punches now. Lorenzo throws a right hand that sails wide and he eats a hard straight counter jab. Lorenzo throws a six punch combo that is blocked. One hook gets through upstairs, and another downstairs.

Two close rounds in a row. Sturm's output is anemic.

    10-9 Lorenzo

    106-103 Sturm

lorenzo back on his bike with his back to the ropes. Lorenzo is game though and fights off the ropes and throws more punches, though less effective. His looping shots are not great against the high guard. But, conversely Sturm lacks variety and effectiveness inn his own hots. Plus sturm doesnt throw hard combinations. Sturm just isnt a good puncher. Lorenzo throws a lot of shots this rd but lands very few. I would like to nod lorenzo, but he just wasnt accurate enough

What you want him to say? Sturm is clearly winning the fight. The only way Lorenzo wins is by 2 knockdowns or a stoppage.

    Round 12

Lorenzo feels out with his left jab and hooks it around a bit. Sturm uses his block-it-all defense to walk Lorenzo into a corner. Lorenzo lands a few hooks up high and Sturm answers with his own hooks, one to the body. Lorenzo keeps jabbing upwards, and throwing lead rights, his punches very loosey-goosey but outhustling Sturm. When Sturm gets close Lorenzo grabs and pushes him away. Upperhook from Lorenzo, then a left hook to the face. Sturm blocks a few jabs but eats a right hand. Sturm is still blocking shots but his guard is wider now, with Lorenzo shoehorning right hands in. Lorenzo forces Sturm into a corner for once and hooks at him, mixing in right hands. They clinch and the bell rings.

    10-9 Lorenzo

    115-113 Felix Sturm

Sturm continues throwing very little. Very conservative and really, few to no combinations. he is a terrible combination puncher, luckily his defense with the high guard has been effective. Lorenzo is not an accurate puncher though and lands a lot of shots on sturms gloves. Lorenzo throws 4 to land 1. it probably looks good to the ringside judges though, throwinf a lot and landing few. Sturm tjhough, really doesnt throw enough in rd 12.

That's how not to close a fight. Sturm just stopped punching and Lorenzo took over the last two rounds. Probably he ran out of gas.

He had a few really brilliant rounds, but yeah - it was not a full 36 minutes of effort, just enough to win.

Well he needs to put together more than one punch at a time. He basically won this fight on the left jab, period. Not impressive. he could of worked much more effectively had he threw his punches in combination.
