So ****ing proud of him and Billy and everyone associated.

I thought he could do it but not in that fashion. That went beyond courage.

    :deal:deal

I was beating my chest. He didn't just win he won in style. Like a true champion. I knew he was tough but he showed more then that tonight.

Proud of him, He proved the doubters wrong!!

And they say the crowd can't do anything...you could see the lift the boy got when he heard the roars. When the camera was doing the bouncy bouncy.....Beautiful..Only In Britain.

I'd just like to clarify the word 'cry' may be interpreted as me bubbling, not so. Just got a lump in the throat and the eyes watered a wee bit. No shame whatsoever.

    I'm still a hard *******.

What a great performance . Great skill and great courage and tremendous sportmanship . All Credit to Ricky Burns , Billy Nelson and everyone associated with him .
I was up shouting at the telly with the volume up full blast .
After so much doom and gloom about scottish sports and life in scotland in general Ricky has made me very very happy .:happy:happy:good:thumbsup

Even before tonight my wee boy Jake (2) has had a signed glove from Ricky up on his wall for the last year or so. I'll be telling my boy about this night in years to come.

Balls bigger than King Kong tonight...:yep

Tore that title off Martinez tonight...:yep

Exposed him and made him look very ordinary as a defensive fighter...:yep

Martinez reminded me of Lacy in a way tonight, very good when having it all his own way. But when getting hit and having to defend himself round after round, his power was nowhere near what he needed...:yep

Heart, Boxing Skills and Fitness... AND THE NEW...:happy
