I only caught the championship rounds 10-12, after seeing Sturm vs. Lorenzo. These little men looked very sloppy in comparison!

It appears based on those and the highlights of the rest being shown now, that Burns deserves the title. Martinez took a real shelling toward the end there. Brave *******, he is.

Did say i wouldnt post on here anymore but felt it necessary to congratulate Ricky Burns and Billy Nelson on this incredible win, and to Ricky and Roman for a terrific fight.

Also stunned Liam Smith lost and Steve was lucky to get the nod tonight

That right hand ****ed up Martinez fightplan kept loading up like shane v floyd. Martinez looked overtrained and the weight was clearly an issue is Frank Warren the new Freddy Roach?

Just shows a lot of guys on here made a monster out of a very very average fighter.

 

Once again thats unfair. How many of his fights have you seen? Not many I'm guessing. I won money on the decision but I am aware Martinez is a good boxers, who needs polishing up. He has some good wins and will be back. One bad performance, but I think its unfair to take anything away from Ricky Burns performance at all. Plus one of the better fights of the year, I feel proud for scottish boxing.
