Close fight . I thought Simpson won it but it could have gone either way or been a draw ,.
A rematch might be an idea because i dont think Smith is ready for lindsay and it would give him a chance to show he's learnt from the , i wouldnt say mistakes , more the things he needs to improve .

I scored it a draw, but some of the rounds were hard to score.Wouldn't complain either way.Thought simpson would wear him down and stop him late, but smith showed he's got something about him.Great performance from someone who's only had 10 fights.:good

I had it a draw, but not fussed a point or two either way. Not impressed with Smith though.

good fight get the feeling smith will have learnt loads from it he is a top lad there are obvious parts of his game that need improving but Simpson is a very good notch on his belt at this stage of his career

Agree with all of this, felt Simpson edged it but credit to Smith for not getting overwhelmed in a test that seemed too soon for him.

Fair play to Frank Warren, let's hope he keeps up good cards like this and The Magnificent Seven, which is still extremely strong despite the pull outs.

Did some people say he was better than his brother Paul Smith..???

Paul Smith is better than him.

But yes, fair play to Steven Smith..!! well done.

I only watched the second half of the fight, and i thought this Simpson fella was winning.

I'll need to watch it on TV coz I had Simpson taking it fairly comfortably at the arena

:yep Totally Agree. Even for a 10 fight youngster. I didn't see anything to wow me...but he did show he can hack that level with next to no experience but i had Simmo winning by a few.

Well, im still buzzing from the Burns win, so Im not in the mood to nitpick.

All I can say is I backed the cocky scouser to get stopped, no doubt the cocky scouser will be on here soon enough being a cocky scouser!

I had Simpson winning(what a surprise, eh?) but Im never a good judge when at fights, too much going on around me & my attention gets drawn away.
I probably wont watch this fight again when I stick the DVD I got recorded by my mate on tomorrow,(bitter loser & all that) so I suppose a congratulations through gritted teeth to Swifty is in order, as I predicted he wouldnt even last the distance.

PS, who was the skinny guy with shaved dark hair & wearing dark clothes that was cheering all the Smith clan on swifty? He was doing everyones nut in, wouldnt sit down for a minute cheering Beefy on, & obstructing everyones view:twisted::lol:

I think I will go to sleep with his scouse voice ringing in my head- "Come on Beefee!!!, thats it Beefee!!! Well done Beefee!!!"

Thank **** he moved away to another seat before you fought, his cheerleading would have been unbearable by that point!

PPS, beefy didnt look too happy with the draw...
