Man, Im just back from the Kelvin Hall, what a ****in night:happy:happy

I had a ringside seat, decided to splash out seeing as it was probably the best scottish card in recent history, & not likely to be repeated.

Man, Im so hoarse I can hardly speak, never known an atmosphere like it, you couldnt hear the bell the place was so rowdy, grown men screaming, old guys shadowboxing telling ricky what to do, Im not kidding, it was like something out of a Rocky film.

Unbelievable, & I dont think I will ever witness another scottish boxing event in my lifetime where there was just such raw emotion pouring out from everywhere the whole fight, it seemed everyone to a man lost the plot:lol:

Was anyone else on brit ESB there? if so tell me about what you thought of it!

****in crazy, but Ricky Burns has surpassed my hero Scotty Harrison, cos although Harrison was ****in tremendous on his day, he never got a Martinez on his record.

Unbelievable stuff, it honestly was, just watched the after fight interviews there & even Frank Warren was pretty emotional:shock: Twas a great night.

    Dunky,

Fellow Jock here. Live in Jersey so couldn't make it tonight. the atmosphere sounded amazing on tele - was it electris in the arena? gutted i didn;t plan a trip, but for an armchair veiewer tonight i spent the majority of the fight on my knees on the rug in the middle of the floor. Haven't been that excited, up and down and unable to settle since scotland won in paris!! Well done Ricky Burns and Billy Nelson.

Blueballs my good man, Im not kidding when I say the atmosphere was INSANE. It honestly was, the fight was so crazy everyone went a bit loco I think, including myself:lol:
Honestly, I was getting so carried away I was shouting like I was in my own living room, not sitting beside complete strangers! Everyone was the same though, gasping & groaning when Martinez landed, screaming when Ricky came back at him, honestly my good amn, the place was also overcrowded, extra seats had to be pulled out at ringside & the stairwells were full, it was crazy, & thats without booze being on sale!

Total one off night, & I dont think anyone that was there will experience a night as good as that one again, in scottish boxing anyway.

I cant wait to watch the re-run on tv, just have to get a hold of the copy from my pal first:lol: Glad to hear you were on your knees & it just wasnt the people inside going mental:good

Ricky Burns and an Scottish crowd. Dosn't get better than that does it. Might need to find a bigger venue for the next Burns Night.

I managed to get a few of my pals to watch this when they didnt know the fighters and they didn't give a ****, and now there seeing boxing in a whole new light thanks to witnessing the crowning of our nations next world champ! congrats to him, Billy, and everyone else who helped make tonight as good as it was :good

Sky boxing returns with a bang! Massive congratulations to Ricky Burns, not bad at all for a Scotsman :yep Seriously though, one of the best examples of skill, guts and heart I have seen in a British ring. Was on the edge of my settee the whole fight!
