Fight of the year candidate anyone?

    Ricky Burns... Take a bow son!
    Well boxed by the Glaswegian against the puncher and they met toe to toe for the entire 12.
    Burns' right uppercut was the punch that continuously made the difference!
    Anyone in agreement?

    I would go with Karl Froch vs Mikkel Kessler. that one had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. it was a true war...however, i haven't seen every single fight this year.. many are saying ivan calderon's last fight was the best of 2010.

    I've seen both and Burns vs Martinez is def better then Calderon vs Segura. And IMO Kessler vs Froch was the best fight so far this year but Burns vs Martinez is def on top now.

    Its hard to be impartial for me.
    Haven't went so balistic watching a fight for years (since Scottish boxing has been dormant at the world level for years.)
    It was not an exhibition of skill but for excitement its certainly FOTY for me!

    great fight but really scrappy.can't see it winning fight of the year. burns is a hero though really showed some balls bullying martinez

    I haven't seen Burns/Martinez or Calderon/Segura yet but from the fights I have see I think that Mares/Perez deserves it more than Froch/Kessler. So I think it should be Mares/Perez.

    It was an entertaining fight and im delighted for Ricky Burns but I wouldnt call it fight of the year. Personally I prefferred Gary Sykes-Andy Morris but a fight like that is never going to get it.
