Whatever. This will be water under the bridge soon enough. It reminds me of the incident when Spain's basketball team poked fun at China. Why didn't Americans make a big fuss about them being "racists?" It was under discussion and definitely made headlines but I don't recall the Gasol brothers being lambasted by ESPN. Why not? After all, they are relevant players who represent the NBA. I also don't recall either of them or any of the members of the team going on camera to publicly apologize like Mayweather did.

In my opinion Floyd is deliberately demonising himself to garner yet more public interest in a fight with WaPakMan. Any publicity is good publicity and he is coming off more as a bully than a coward, which is good. If it makes dollars, it makes sense.

The culture from that part of the world accepts things like that, that others would see as racist. It's like when they want to abuse or make fun of someone they pick on their most distinct feature.

I know from experience that if a Portuguese fan is watching a football game and a black player makes a mistake, it's common for him to say 'preto de merda' (black ****), or if the player is asian 'chines de merda', and it's not meant to be offensive or racist. Heck i do it, and i'm not racist.
