Just in the door from Martinez-Burns.

Best fight I seen since Dunne-Cordoba and the atomosphere was electric as well.

Ormond is a star and had Greaves shaking in his boots - showed Prunty up for the level that he is.

Ormond is going to be a bigger hit guys.

Spike worked his corner and is a good lad - had a long chat with that Corkonian as well.

But I'll save a word for Peter Mcdonagh - fought great tonight and showed that he is a lot better than many give him credit for.

Priviledged to be at ringside tonight - and for the record I called a SD on the Simpson-Smith fight.

Both fights should be remade and Warren can call it "Take 2"

    :good

15 YEARS ON: AFTER "IRON" MIKE TYSON Vs "HURRICANE" PETER McNEELEY
    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...r-iron-mike-tyson-vs-hurricane-peter-mcneeley

An interesting fact about McNeeley, is that he wanted to box Kevin McBride for the Irish title. The contest was seriously considered, but then Peter got the call to fight Tyson and the rest is history.

never scored it - I just had the feeling. The rounds were scrappy and I said to the boys from Mersey Gloves magazine that I bet the scores are all over the shop and that its a SD.

Anyway, guys Ormond is the business. Not as business as Spike's haircut, but the business nonetheless. Looking forward to more of that man.

I thought the Burns Martinez fight was closer than what the cards were. Some of the rounds Burns done well hold on in the fight. I would of had Burns winning the fight but by 2 rounds no more than that. He was hurt a number of times during the fight I wouldnt mind seeing that fight again. I feel if they were to fight again that Martinez may well get revenge.

    Lindsay to face Smith
5 September 2010 A week ahead of his marking time fight with David Kiilu, British featherweight champion Martin Lindsay has learned that a clash with new Commonwealth champion Stephen Smith looks on the cards.
Smith claimed the title at Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall with a split decision victory over champion John Simpson – a regular sparring partner of Belfast’s Carl Frampton. Purse bids are now expected for Lindsay vs Smith.
Also on the Glasgow card, Dublin’s Stephen Ormond extended his unbeaten record to 7-0 (2KO) with a four round points victory over Johnny Greaves. There was disappointment however for Peter McDonagh, with the Connemara Kid dropping an eight rounds decision to former world champion Alex Arthur at lightweight.
At the business end of the card, Ricky Burns claimed the WBO super-featherweight title with a unanimous points decision over Roman Martinez.
Former Lindsay foe Paul Appleby also recorded a victory with a second round stoppage of Yordan Vasilev

Sturm dominated him. He didnt look like he was a 31 year old that hadnt fought in 14 months. In saying that Lorenzo was poor. Left Sturm take too many of the early rounds
