Wish I was. I'm no managing to go to Kelvin Hall, really gutted.

Simpson to take a very hard fought decision

Burns to win a decision or prove he deserved that title shot.

Just home and and i aint seen it on the telly, gonna watch it after.

Simpson certainly did enough to win from what i saw, after a few rounds he took the centre of the ring solely.

I thought you had to take a title of someone....eg. as Burns did but i will have a proper watch later and yes it was scrappy.

Truly gutted right now, absolutely topping bloke and god knows whats going through his head atm.

Burns, what can i say........i think its been said already.

Big thanks to all in attendance and that took the time for pics etc.

Arthur on his way to victory.
ARTHUR AND APPLEBY RECORD WINS Alex Arthur, the former holder of the WBO belt now owned by Ricky Burns, returned to winning ways with a 79-74 points win over Irish lightweight Peter McDonagh.
The 32-year-old declared himself "terribly, terribly ring rusty" after just his third fight since losing his world title to Cook two years ago.
Arthur, who beat Burns on points in a 2006 title fight, was momentarily shaken by a right hand from McDonagh in the first round but recovered to win comfortably without finding much spark.
Fellow Scot Paul Appleby secured a far more convincing victory as he stopped Bulgarian Yordon Vasilev inside four minutes in his first super-featherweight contest.
The 23-year-old had Vasilev on the canvas twice in the opening round with ferocious body shots and only the bell prevented more punishment.
The fight, Appleby's first since losing his British featherweight title to Lindsay, lasted just 59 more seconds with Vasilev stopped as he failed to respond to a string of punches.

Paul looked really sharp last night, ok his opponent didn't look up to much but for a guy who's not fought in a year there didn't seem much ring rust.
