It's only 9-9 (or even 9-8 or 9-7) if you get a point deducted for a foul. Otherwise, at least one fighter has to have at least 10 points.

Come on, it's not that complicated.

Check out the rip-off decision Hernandez/Gainer fight. I have to give credit for Roy Jones for ordering a rematch because of the criminal judging.

    Its 10-9.

Anybody scoring it 9-9 is wrong. Plain and simple. There is a reason NO professional judge has EVER done it in a fight you know of.

We're trained and told NOT to do it that way.

You're referencing something that cites Harold Lederman as a source? :patsch I think we already established he has no credibility on this subject. The other source is listed as Tom Kaczmarek who is an actual boxing judge. Of course, being an actual boxing judge, he actually does know how to score so his article that is cited actually says the exact opposite....

Did you find an example yet of a 9-9 round with no points deductions scored by a professional boxing judge yet? It shouldn't be too hard for you to find just one example of someone doing things what you consider to be the correct way should it?

So you beat me up the whole round you get 10-9 (Assuming i punch back) but somewhere at the end of the round i score a knockdown ( which gives me an extra point) it goes from 10-9 to 10-10 cos you wont lose a pint for getting knocked down.

You can't have 9-9. If a guy is losing a round but scores a knockdown then usually it'd be scored 10-9 in his favour, some stupid judges who don't understand the rules might go with 10-8 there's a suprising amount of people who think a knockdown is an automatic 10-8, I suppose it's possible if a guy was getting the stuffing knocked out of him but scored a lucky knockdown it could be called 10-10.

The Ring had this up on their website a while back

the way your saying it, is the way judges score fights, yes i understand that, but they are infact WRONG.. unless they give 2 points for a knock down.

You are scoring a round prematurely in your mind by saying it's almost 10-9 lol......but a knock down is a knock down... That is if you have brain to understand what a knock down is:good.
