We saw in the Diaz fight that he still has the speed, power, timing, and combination-punching instincts to be considered among the best offensive boxers active (and his defense is a bit underrated as well; he made Diaz miss quite badly a few times).

The version of him that fought Floyd was no good. That was a circus.

He's still the best lightweight until he's beaten.

he is the best lightweight but he is only a shadow of what he once was, remember this was the guy who went toe to toe with pacquiao but was wobbled against diaz and had a difficult time with casamayor.

see way too many bias here....this is exactly what im talkin about....

lol..morales is a "shell" of what he used to be..

    JMM IS NOT..

THIS IS WHY IM SAYIN HE UNDERRATED..STYLES MAKE FIGHTS...IN BOTH FIGHTS HE WENT TO WAR WITH DIAZ...

HE WAS THE FIRST TO KNOCK CASAMAYOR OUT TOO BTW...

THIS IS A HORRIBLE ARGUMENT...ITS BIAS...HE'S NOT A "SHADOW" OF WHAT HE USED TO BE..LMFAO...
THATS TAKIN IT WAY TOO FAR...HE NOT ARTRUO GATTI FIGHTING CARLOS BALDOMIR MAN....THAT WAS A "SHELL"

PUT UP SOMETHING BETTER THAN THIS TO SAY "HE'S PAST IT" IS WHAT IM SAYIN....:hat

HE'S RANKED #5 ESB RANKINGS AND #3 IN THE OFFICIAL LB 4 LB RANKINGS..AND IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE RANKINGS..THE RANKINGS HELP MY ARGUMENT BECAUSE THE POSTS BEING PUT IN THREADS ABOUT HIM DONT REFLECT HIS RANKING AT ALL..ESB POSTERS TURNIN THEIR HEADS ON ALL THAT CUZ IT FUKS WITH THEIR ARGUMENT IN RELATION TO HIM BEING "PAST IT" AND A "SHELL":nono

    whats biased about it homo?

marquez went toe to toe with pacquiao twice but struggled against a OLD shot casamayor and then got rocked and in trouble against a fat plodding brawler.

you dont give a **** about marquez, this whole thread was for the benefit of floyd.

no one is saying he is overrated dude, its just that at lightweight is were he reigns supreme, going up in weight is not good for him.

There is not space for opinion here. At his age he is past his peak, period. Its a proven fact. He is not done. He is still a great fighter. But his best years for fighting are gone. The funny thing is even when he is past his best he still better than many young fighters.

    JMM WAS great.

i really think floyd fnshed him at the top level. yes people can go on about weght dfference and blah blah, maybe im wrong, who knows. but i dont see him going on doing anything at all vs katsids.

he had a punchers chance vs khan but he didnt take the fight.

he didnt finish well vs diaz and a harder puncher could have stopped marquez that night.
