I big fuss was made of this Steven Smith, i think his brother is better.

And i think Simpson won the fight.

Thats boxing for you.

 

Because he was involved with the promotion.

 

And Paul Appleby's mum (I think it was his mum) came on and said the opposite :nut

 

Scored it two to simpson but was not in full scoring mode. That was my judgement at the end of the fight.

Only scored the Burns fight properly which I scored 116-113.

 

I thought it was his Auntie Julie?

 

i agree, ***** score that one, i thought a draw would have been a more exeptable end, they should fight again, though i feel smith will have learned more from the fight, paticulaly his inside game, and win a tough fight again ,but more convincingly.:yep

I watched half the fight, and i don't know what Steven Simpson was doing to win. Simpson when he landed his shots, looked to be doing more damage........with the occassional bomb.

He was not holding, and looking to surive.....Like Steven Smith.

This Steven Smith had nothing, but a Jab and a Straight right hand down the middle........then hold. That was all he was doing during the fight, he looked totally clueless when the fight was up close, and just hung and clinged like a 2 year old baby clings to its mother.

This Simpson fella was poor aswell "Both of them are poor fighters in terms of technique and ability", but he won the fight in my opinion.

Not impressed with Smith tbh. Saw a lot of bad habits.

 

still early days tho mate, would of learnt alot from last night. Simpsons is hardly the first 12 rounder 1 would of wanted but done the rounds and its onwards and upwards from here on

 

Yeah he was lunging in horribly at times.

They will both get beat by the irish lad IMO!!!

 

He done a deal with Tommy Gilmour, not Paul. Paul never got anywhere near that and Mr Coldwell wouldnt know how much Gilmour was paying his fighters either way

(and if he did its not very proffesional to discuss it on a public forum)

 

i had it 115-113 Smith but think the next fight for Smith should be a rematch.

 

So your saying Tomy Gilmour shafted Paul? Coldwell would know what the fight purse was and what split each fighter was getting.

Also Dave Coldwell is a great guy and comes on here and gives us fans great info you div, he hasn't come on here and told us exact figures, he has come on and told the fans Paul got paid very well for his fight with Lindsay so please explain how that is unproffesional?
