Who will be choosen for the wild card in Prizefighter The Heavyweights IV

Who knows, but unless it is someone decent, Skelton will **** it even though he is way past his best.

I was hoping this was going to be a good lineup with a couple of good prospects, Dallas, Towers and a couple of decent seasons pros McDermott, Skelton etc but it is surely between Sprott and Skelton at the moment.

 

The Skelton who was out against Swaybe won't win anything!!!:good

I agree he weren't great but who out of these is going to beat, of the other 6 I only could see Sprott troubling him

 

i agree, but skelton is more likely to get close and flail away, by the time sprott gets to grip with it, it could be to late, skelton is very strong and determined, thats why i go for him, out of the nown crop.:yep

 

At the moment sprott would be a clear favourite for me and would easily beat skelton over the 3 rounds IMO.

But Honestly even without knowing for sure who it is I would make the TBA the fav.

Really pains me to say it but I would say Carl Baker is a good bet for the final if the TBA is ****!!!

Skelton has absolutely no timing or punch resistance left at this point and I would like to see him pull the curtains down on what has been a decent career!!!

 

Agreed i'm not saying Skelton is even at domestic level anymore but the lineup is shite.

I really hope the wildcard is an up and comer not another has been

Why do the fighters have to be British why not use Prizefighter to introduce foreign fighters to the British game it's an easy way to make them known and make them viable opponents for the future. It's the obvious evolution of Prizefighter as there are only so many British Boxers that they can use.

 

One thing is it's easier to know the backgrounds of the fighters.

If you stick 32g's on the table you are suddenly find you've got ten equedorians (apoilogies for spelling) and 12 ruskies that have 10 and 0 records that want to enter!!!

 

good analasis,i agree he's had a good career, but i also think that sprott has took a bit of wear and tear in his good career, sprott is dangerous,skelton is industriuos, a good workrate for 2 rounds, and sprott needs a ko, wich to be fair, he's capable of getting at any point in the fight. good final if it happens.:good

 

I was at his last fight and my trainer was in his corner (only had good things to say about him before anyone gets on my back).

He has nothing left to give in my opinion.

And certainly he has nothing left to prove.

His timing was so far of and just straight lines all over the place.

 

Maybe but I wouldn't fill the tournament up with unknown foreign fighters but 1 or 2 could be interesting.

Maybe, probably but you could end up with some new fighters to add to the domestic scene. Let's say they stick in that Latvian I suggested and let's say he won he could face Larry O, Tyson Fury next and it would be a major fight but if they fought him now it would be a no interest undercard fight.

As long as you pick well it could be a decent chance to get people familiar with some foreign fighters. I mean how many Heavyweights can they use there are only 40/50 in the UK and they have done Prizefighter at least 4 times in that division now and everyone agrees that it is beginning to go stale why not freshen it up a bit by adding another dimension to the format.
