Just saw this thread, but got to go and have'nt had time to read it.........

.....I'll chime in before going to say that Marquez has been past his best for many years now. He was past his physical best when he rematched Pacquiao.
Its a testament to his greatness that he can still thrive and win against the competition he's facing.

.......and a correction to the starter who failed in his intro start to the thread.
Forget the politics of the sport, most of us know Marquez has legitly lost one fight in his career and that was against today's p4p best at a weight Marquez has no business fighting an elite against.

Yes most respect Marquez, but even many of those underrate him, no doubt.

    See ya!:hi:

Marquez is clearly past hi best days, but he still has enough left to beat any lightweight out there today.

sure why not, i dont see anyway that jmm beats katsidis.

  6. Marquez is getting just the right amount of credit on these boards, if not slightly more than he deserves. He couldn't put away Diaz even after hurting him several times. Diaz also had lost 3 of his last 5 fights coming into the match. It's not Marquez's fault - he's just getting old.

    :-(

Mosley being 5th at p4p imo is absurd. 5th p4p in the world?

I def disagree with the Ring here, he shouldnt be any higher then 8, and i dont see how he has seperated himself so much that hes 5th, and Cotto isnt even listed. I have no problem with not having Cotto in the top 10, but then to go on and put mosley at 5.... :huh
