We have a small amount of active boxers so it's hard to say they would go that far. But certainly the biggest crop of talent I've ever heard of in any generation of boxers is our current crop of young amateurs especially in the lower weight divisions. I think Frampton could light up the 122 divisiona and I believe Lee could beat Sylvester if they fought in the next 2 years. But McCloskey is in a very tough division and while I think he is a worthy European champions I'm not sure how he would do with Alexander/Khan/Bradley

I also think Dean Byrne could be in some big match ups he is very impressive watch out for him in the next 5/6 fights will say a lot about where he will be in the division.

I think Andy Murrray is class, do you know if his next fight (on the McCloskey vs Morrison undercard) will be shown on sky...or is it worth finding a bar with RTE2...and will it be live on RTE2?

I was a wee bit pissed off that none of the undercard of McCloskey V Lauri was shown on skysports...wouldve been a brillint nights boxing...as Im sure the Hunky Doreys fight night in Leterkenny next month will be.

You think McCloskey beats Khan :yikes. Would love if you were right but I think Khan would handle McCloskey with relative ease.

If he can tighten up his defense he might be able to.Hes got very good boxing skills and hand speed plus a decent bit of power when he uses it.He is prone to taking too many shots sometimes though

I don't. His record is ridiculously padded. Can get the Euro level with a bit of luck. World champion? No way.

I think it'd be close, but 1 decent punch and Khan is on the canvas, McCloskey is elusive and has enough power to do a job on Khan.
