After all David Hayes talk about how he was going to clean up the division how let down and disillusioned do his fans feel now that it looks like he will be fighting Audley.
The fact that Audley has never fought anyone of note in the world rankings since turning pro must make this fight purely a cynical money making exercise that does nothing to enhance Hayes reputation as a world champion. Why has he not chased after a live active top ten contender who would relish a shot at the title and give him a real fight.
I would not be surprised if after he fights Audley he gets a rematch with Valuev and finishes off his career with one last fight against someone in the mould of Ruiz, a name that is on the slide and is beatable.
I will be cheering on the underdog Audley, who else feels the same?

Not at all, all tickets would sell out in 24 hrs, biggest British fight for a very long time. It's all about business. So many people on here will ridicule Haye for it but i bet they end up watching it.

I'm a former Haye fan who has turned. That video he made "explaining" was the last straw. The only thing it explained was that Haye has no interest in proving himself against the best at heavyweight.
I hope A-Force knocks him out. He has it coming after all his shenanigans.

I never really was a big fan, and this whole Audley thing hasn't really changed my mind about him. It's purely a money making scheme, and once he dispatches of him, I'd be slightly annoyed if he and his fans make it out to be a huge achievement. So once the fight's out of the way, I'd at least expect him to admit why he chose Audley as an opponent.

Haye wants money; d'uh! He only wanted a Klit originally for money now he knows he can milk the public fighting bums.

It was perfectly executed. Pretend he hated Harrison, twitter abused him then when the Klits got their opponents he was left with 'no choice' ha ha ha.

Classic setup the sheepish masses will lap up like dogs.

Casuals will probably be up for it, but the real boxing fans, whove been following him since his cruiserweight days will be pissed off.

Look all the haters should get off his back. He is not the 1st and wont be the last who takes an 'easy' fight for the money!!

It really is sheer idiocy when posters slate Haye for fighting Harrison (Olympic Gold medalist & European Champ) when the other champs - VK fought Sosnowski (Euro champ) / WK fought Rahman very recently! Sosnowski who was humbled by Zuri Lawrence!! Rahman hadn't beaten a 'name' since2 Gunz in 2005!!

Get real they all do it even the angels Klitschko's!!

The difference is the Klits have whooped everyone in the division so there are not many credible opponents people want to see them face. This was why Haye was able to ascent to the top of the pile so quickly.

Until this fight with Harrison is announced I am not going to pass judgement but if it is announced then forget about fans Haye would have completely embarrassed himself.

Lets hope these rumours are not true.

    Spot on!

I knew this was 100% the case when he said 'i'm not fighting Harrison. IF we ever fight, the money he makes will go towards his hospital bills'. That statement convinced me the fight was going ahead as he could easily have said 'not fight Harrison, opponent announced in due course'.

I still hope he beats that Fraud, but whoever he fights next I hope he loses, unless he fights a Klit.

I'll bet that loads will watch this farce in the hope that Audley somehow smashes Haye to pieces.

My point is 'champions' often take easy fights for the money - Haye actually hasn't even done this yet; people are pre-empting this before the Harrison fight has been announced.

Are you seriously suggesting that for example Vitali could not find a more worthy opponent than Sosnowski; or even Shannon Briggs - why doesn't he fight Solis, Adamek etc even Tua and Barrett are more worthy than Briggs and Sos! What about Kevin Johnson were there no better contenders than him at the time!

Bottom line Harrison would be the first 'easy' pay day for Haye - he never haad one at CW whereas Klitschkos esp Vitali have had numerous soft fights recently
