Off topic but does anyone know a legit US-based boxing website that sells career sets for cheap? Can anyone PM suggestions to me? Thanks.

I was Hagler's biggest fan and didn't particularly like Leonard, but I had Ray up 6-5-1 in rounds. About as close as you can get, but I had him winning it.

I watched and scored the fight about eight times and Hagler is consistently up by one and less often two rounds. No more than that can be justified in my opinion.

    A close fight.

--Closer than that primal scream I let out at the decision would suggest.

I either have it for Ray by 2 or Marvin by 2, it is just that close.

7-5 Leonard, but a very clear 7-5 for me, Leonard just bagged too many early rounds with his speed. If it was over 15 rounds Hagler may have won, but over 12 and in fairness he may have been pacing himself for 15, but no way he won.

I think allot of the controversy revolves around peoples dislike of Leonard

    115-113 Sugar Ray Leonard.

I don't recall anyone at the time picking Leonard he was coming off of a 2 year lay off and Marvin Hagler had just beaten Thomas Hearns and John Mugabi.

I scored it for SRL and I prefer Hagler. I think I had it 7-5, it was awhile ago should re-watch and score it.

I remember one of the boxing journo's here in the UK did a report, spent a few days at Leonards training camp and came back convinced he was going to win - everyone thought he was nuts.

I bet on Leonard myself but it was more out of optimism for my favourite fighter than thinking he'd actually go out and do it.
