    Guys a nutjob because of what he had done in his life, not because he was born with some kind of mental condition. There are no excuses that can be made for him.

    People are also born with it, alot of people dont get diagnosed and they self medicate!

    From what ive heard, valero was bat **** crazy since he was a juvenile! He probably started using drugs to ease his mental pain!!

    Venezuela is a relative LEDC and it would be unlikely that schizophrenia from birth was not diagnosed in almost 28 years of life.

    As of now all evidence points to i t being drug induced. Unless you can find me some concrete fact saying he was born with it your article is disgusting and your opinion very invalid.

    Do you know valero personally? Why dont you find evidence that he wasnt crazy since he was a teen?? His life has been in turmoil since he was a pre-teen.... He did alot of things that showed he was a sick man, he just always got bailed out of trouble because he knew how to box!! If he wasnt a famous boxer and a national hero then he would of been institutionalized and maybe just maybe this tragedy could have been avoided!! The country of venezuela failed this kid and his poor wife and kids!! RIP edwin valero, jenifer viera!!!

    I dont need to find any evidence of that because everything points to his mental state being caused by drug abuse. Maybe you should find some evidence to the contrary because right now the opinion that it was drug abuse carries far more weight that it being natural.

    the man had to have known he had problems but still did nothing to save himself or his family.
    Sure he was crazy but i guarantee you he still had a choice.

    I already told you its common knowledge that people that are not diagnosed usually self medicate with street drugs and alcohol. Doug fischer said in one of his mail bags a few months ago that edwin valero was diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 24 and he started using drugs as a teen. So he used drugs because he had a chemical imbalance, the drug use didnt cause schizophrenia!! Doug fischer said when he was diagnosed he started using anti-phychotic medication but he stopped using them because he didnt like the side effects. "Not long after that he got back to his old habits using every street drug known to man"...
