pbf avoiding the Hearns retirement plan

    PBF is constantly put down for fighting for Money not legacy.

    Well, let's use Hearns for reference for a classic fighter who never backed down from a challenger and who always fought for pride and legacy. He was loved by most, and made millions along the way. However he didn't always maximize his potential earnings in the sport. Now he is dirt poor and begging for fans to buy his old **** so he can support his family.........it's just plain sad to realize. Where are all these boxing fans who love and support guys who fight for legacy? the ones who put down pbf for fighting for money. Where are they to help this sorry sucker............nowhere, they don't give a 2 shits what happens to this guy. He may be broke, but at least he has his "legacy."

    PBF is a student of boxing and has seen this case play out w/ countless great boxers in their retirement. he has decided to avoid this financial status at all costs, including risking his legacy to ungrateful boxing fans.

    If you call yourself a boxing fan, and feel you deserve to judge pbf for capitalizing on his potential, you should also feel obligated to help out an old retired boxer who did get suckered into taking bad advice from fans like you in the past. Hearns always answered to the fans and gave them the fights they wanted..........now he needs your help, and nobody cares. Some of the pbf hating threads appear hypocritical when compared to a fighter who did cave into fans requesting a fighter only care about legacy. He did everything fans asked and this where it got him.

    It's hard to blame pbf for wanting to avoid this path.

    Now I'm a big Mayweather fan and all, but could you explain exactly how by turning down the biggest payday in boxing history, Floyd is avoiding going broke upon retiring???

    There is someone who saw boxing as a business and fought for money, but he still whooped everyone in the process. Today, he is considered the greatest boxer ever.

    1- Pac vs. pbf is bigger now than when it was 1st suggested 1 yr. ago. It'll be bigger 1yr. from now. If he waits a yr. or so he'll make more money then now.
    2- he continues to prove he's a bigger PPV and deserves a bigger split of the purse when they do meet.
    3- Since the fight was 1st suggested pbf destroyes JMM who beat pac, and SSM who was ducked by pac, proving pbf is a better fighter.
    4- He can beat another champ, like berto or pwill, and get another impressive W, making the pac fight even bigger.
    Maybe if hearns tired some stragy like this instead of caving into evertthing the fans wanted he'd be more set w/ $ now. This is most likely the biggest fight payday of all time and pbf wants to insure he make s the most possible. Whatever he is doing is obviously working b/c the fight continues to get more and more press and intrest every week.

    e can take all the easy options he wants, be it fighting jmm, going on vacation or whatever he will do next. he can make all the money he wants.

    he just better not expect boxng fans to remember him as the g.o.a.t.

    PBF haters will say that it doesn't matter because Floyd is "dumb" and doesn't know how to manage cash? Your thoughts on that?

    It's hard for me to make an argument the pbf has the ability to manage his money. Whoever the more he makes the better his chance are of being set for life.

    Dumbest post ever.

    Hearns was a moron who had leaches and couldn't manage money.

    Floyd's only way to MAXIMIZE his pay is to fight Pac.

    I don't see the logic in your post. Floyd can make this fight for not only a huge payday but for his legacy as well.

    Honestly, that's the point I'm making. GOAT talk is for fans like you and he, pbf could care less what we think about him being a GOAT. He cares about money. Hearns is considered a GOAT by many b/c he never backed down and look what it got him.

    Because your post makes no sense.

    You say Floyd shouldn't fight for a legacy because he will become broke like Hearns. Or possibly broke.

    To bad the fight that will make him the MOST money is also the fight that will best add to his legacy/career.
