MONEY MAYWEATHER Walked Away From 210 Million Dollars...

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by BenjaminLinus, Sep 5, 2010.

  1. If Floyd hadn't ducked Pacquiao the first time, boxing fans would be watching a rematch this November with a likely third fight in March.

    Pacquiao-Mayweather I - $60 Million
    Pacquiao-Mayweather II - $70 Million
    Pacquiao-Mayweather III - $80 Million

A third fight would likely be the retirement fight for both fighters, which would be the ultimate payday. Instead, Floyd's not "thinking about boxing" as he goes on dates with Don King and films himself spewing racist garbage. Not to mention he has no "urge" and isn't sure if he ever will.

Floyd could have made 210 million dollars for three "easy" fights against a "one dimensional fighter" who has "no chance" of winning.

    Floyd's has ducked Pacquiao TWICE.

    :deal

I made this argument before that strike while the pan is hot. Make the fight now and rematch for more. But *****s are content to hype a first fight that may not even get off.

Also, If Floyd is so confident in beating Pac, then he should carry Pac and let him win a few rounds so that the rematch is marketable.

If your nickname is money and legacy isnt important, yes I agree he should have fought last May.

No Hes making a point even though hes embellishing abit. He is talking about the business of boxing and simple time/opportunity cost concept. Its basic economics that people should understand.

You have two fighters on the wrong side of 30. This is the biggest fight in years, maybe in history. Lets get it on!

  5. I don't think I am embellishing. If anything, the numbers can be even higher. Especially with a second and third fight. Such is the talent and intensity of both fighters that the outcome of the first fight (no matter how explosive or boring if Mayweather jumps on his unicycle) will only blow the second fight's numbers out of the roof. If Pac blows out Floyd in the third, people will pay to see if Pac can do it again. If Pac loses it badly, people will pay to see if Floyd can dominate Pac twice in a row.

And as I mentioned, if it went to a trilogy, it would likely be a retirement fight for Pac and Floyd.

We're talking about a Trilogy with the 1A/1B P4P here, folks.

Floyd is a *****. Plain and simple.

I believe that if the first fight is controversial. The second fight can alone do 100 Million.

That's true but that trilogy probably won't happen if Pacquiao KOs Mayweather.

If Pac is such an easy fight for Void, they why won't Void fight him? Easy money to hear Void tell it. George Foreman and Roberto Duran are correct, Void is scared of Pac.

I find it extremely laughable that the creator of this thread thinks we will get a trilogy of fights between these two, when its been ridiculously difficult just to make 1, that as of yet still hasnt been made official.

I also think that everyone fails to realize that this probably wont be a great fight unless you really like Mayweather or Manny does what noone has done, and thats beat him. The only thing that makes this fight interesting, is Floyd facing someone that a lot of people, including his critics/haters THINK can beat him. Of course Im not one of them, but that is the consenses.

If Mayweather wins by decision, 9 times out of 10 it will be like 90% of all his decision wins: a complete 1sided shut out. No rematch

If he gets the KO same difference. No rematch.

It'll be the same **** everyone should be used to by now, Floyd making this **** look easy, and theyll say it was boring and that Manny never har a chance, and the world will wonder why they needed to see this fight so bad.

I agree with this guy. If I had to bet money on an outcome, this is it.
