it's quite normal for pro fighters to have 'easier' fights for the first 20 or so of their career. in fact it's the norm. It's how they build experience and reputation. you don't expect champs to be fighting noobs, do you?

Floyd maybe an idiot, but he's a damn good boxer.

To say Floyd's victory over Hernandez was meaningless is going too far.

Can you tell me what great fighter in their prime not even an ATG he boxed damn good against? No body of work to prove anything except that he indeed ducked and the record speaks for itself.

Come on Gernaro was shot and he was 32 and already lost to DelaHoya beofre Mayweather fought him. He had no power and was a boxer and Floyd faced him when he was retiring.
Numbers do not lie. This record will not change and they guys he fought who were good were all old and had lost prior. The only good win is Diego Corales. I loved watching Diego but I mean to earn the respect for this body of work is the biggest hype job in boxing. thank god he has been exposed.

Now I'm nt Floyds biggest fan or anything but as far as his skills go he is 2nd to none imo...on a side note, if u look @ Manny's first 20 opponents wasn't he KO'd by 2 easy fighters? Or does it jus apply to Floyd? Also I dnt think any fighter did as much damage early in their career than Vargas...

All I am asking is who that was great not even an ATG in their prime did he beat and look good against ?

Manny fighting barerra, Eric Morales, Cotto is tougher than his whole resume combined.

Hernandez was a great win and really put Floyd on the map

I smell a lot of hatred here i'm no Floyd nuthugger but the guy is a great boxer the only problem i have with the guy is lack of activity and REAL tests right now

The build up to this Pacquiao fight is ****ing ludicrous. WE DONT NEED ANY MORE HYPE GUYS GET IN THE ****ING RING!!!

He is a great boxer who has a horrific chin and horrific style vs young dangerous fighters and carefully avoided everyone and everyone until they were 32 or older. end of story. If he fights Manny it will end in bad way for Floyd. So he is making the right decision. Real deal vs the Real Boxing Aerobic Instructor.
