Mosley didn't crack Margarito. There were no cuts , barely any swelling/bruising, and Margarito was never really hurt. It looked like he just went down from exhaustion more than anything.

 

The guy in your avatar was brutally stopped by Tommy Hearns and it did'nt mean his chin was cracked.......Duran did'nt get stopped again until very late in his career well into his forties against William Joppy.


If you look at Margarito getting stopped by Mosley, his legs are not giving in under him from any particular shot.
Margarito was going down from the so numerous shots and when he was finally hitting the canvas it was from the sheer force of the shot, not really from a shot that was short circuiting his brain waves.

A fighter who's chin has been cracked is usually who does a dance number with his feet and has not control over them. That was not the case with Margarito vs Mosley.
