Okay, starting from anywhere you like, ie 1920's, name your SINGLE p4p best fighter of that decade. Name just ONE per decade please.

Here's mine. I dont pretend to know much about any era before 1950's, so I wont embarrass myself.

    1950's - Ray Robinson
    1960's - Ali
    1970's - Duran
    1980's - Ray Leonard
    1990's - Roy Jones
    2000's - Mayweather, thus far.

And please dont just post what you think others will accept as non controversial. Just post what you think

Off the topic somehwhat, but this p4p thingis so overdone in boxing. Weight classes are a huge concession in combat and weight lifting sports. So many other sports depend on size and have no room for the little guys. There are no light weight shot putters, no middleweight football players. Most boxers who are great at welterweight or lower wouldn't even be big enough to be world class sprinters or hurdlers, who are rarely if ever below 6 ft and 180 lbs. Of course it is good for boxing that weight classes exist, but to constantly compare fighters p4p distracts from the huge difference in their absolute ability h2h.

PBF's best run is on 130 Division in the late 90s where he became Fighter of the Year. After that in the 2000s he's in the cruise control & just Cherry Picking.

Pac's on the Tear since 2000. Knocking out 2 Legends, 2006 Fighter of the year. His wins against elite are more impressive than Floyd & He's the most exciting to watch.

I can easily say the same about Pacquiao cherry picking Mexican legends for their names and money, but avoiding the top prime fighters and champions in their divisions. You said your piece that Pacquiao is the best right now....now let it be.

I don't think exciting has anything to do with it. If excitement was an important criteria, Gatti and Corrales would be the best of the 2000s.

Dont like to admit it but pacDbest isn't far off tbh. Pac could overtake Mayweather as p4p king of the 2000's, if he can get in 2 or 3 huge wins ie marquez, diaz, guzman.

But right now, Mayweather is undisputed number 1

Mayweather is proving himself to be quite a joke however with his hand picking, he's also showed quite a few vulnerabilities to pressure styles, I think Cotto could beat him personally.

My pick for best P4P in the 2000's would be Cristian Mijares.

I'm a huge Mijares fan but come on, this is ridiculous. The guy has faced two or three decent fighters.

You are contradicting yourself. You know Hatton is a great pressure fighter but you give PBF no credit for facing him. You are basically saying that PBF is only vulnerable to a select few fighters, but because he hasn't fought them, he is cherry picking. Beating good fighters is beating good fighters. Period. You cannot discredit him for not fighting the one or two fighters you THINK might be able to beat him, especially since they just came to the forefront.
