it's funny cus a lot of the people who dismissed the mosley victory claiming shane was past his prime, were the one's critizing floyd for not fighting the guy when he came out of retirement.

same thing will happen when he beats pacquaio. people will say he was too small and he had manny all messed up taking blood tests and so on. the true greats always get hated on.

I gotta say I expected Floyd to outbox Mosley rather easily. Maybe I thought he'd lose more than 2 rounds but I also thought he wouldn't get shaken up so badly.

I give credit to Floyd as the 2nd best boxer right now behind Pacquiao. I think that's where most people rank him as well therefore you can't really say he isn't getting credit.

He beat a guy who's over the hill at 38 and had lost to Miguel Cotto a few years back.

Floyd was expected to beat him by unanimous decision, so he gets credit but not the massive credit that a win over Miguel Cotto by Pacman gets.

floyd deserves massive credit for fighting and dominating mosley. mosley was the reigning WW king and #3 p4p boxer.

but as well as he performed and as much credit as he earned, he has ducked pacman. fact.

how you got that from philla's post is beyond me. i think we can all agree we expected floyd to outbox mosley, and i think we can agree we didnt expect floyd to be smacked around for a full round.

    noone said he got exposed.

It was a great win over one of the oldest current boxers. Shane at 38 is still real good, just not as good as he was a few years ago when he didn't exhibit Parkinsons Disease while in the ring.

Talking of people who wouldn't face Mosley ...

Why is Pac fighting Margo when there are at least 6 more interesting fights out there?

for someone who is supposed to be one of the best defensive fighters of all time, gettin hit flush isnt what your supposed to do. did oscar or chavez ever hit whittaker like that?

he desrves credit obviously. people who dont give him any are haters, just dont go taking it as a personal insult

Most people expected mayweather to potshot Mosley to a victory. Mayweather actually walked him down and tried to knock him out. NOBODY expected that. Mayweather walked down the bigger more powerful man like it was nothing. Shows how versatile Mayweather truly is.

No offense man but the people who thought Mosley was better than Pac are nuts. I remember people saying Mosley was shot as far back as 2007 when Cotto beat him. ****, I remember thinking Mosley was starting to slide before he fought Collazo. I was surprised how Mosley dominated that fight.

However, I never said that Mosley was shot, and I do give Floyd credit for beating him the way he did.

How can people say Floyd never gets credit when he is ranked #2 p4p? You don't get that high on the p4p list unless you are getting some credit.
