At least it will be good tv and I can always hope that Audley catches Haye on his dodgy whiskers or pulls off the performance of his career and uses his size and boxing skills to outbox Haye.

Can you imagine if this backfired spectacularly on Haye? If Audley gets himself in the shape of his life, shows heart and has a good gameplan he has a chance.

PS. I dont give a **** about the Klitscho fight, there are a dozen other matchups that I would prefer in other divisions that are not likely to happen either.....

I know Harrison doesnt deserve this shot but it is going to happen anyway.......

A good pal of mine who is a general sports fan was complaining about how Harrison stunk the joint out on the undercard of Calzaghe v Hopkins.

He's right, and with that main event that is saying something...

This should not do well on PPV and I definitely won't buy it.

    Good TV?

Harrison is terrible to watch and that's even if he lasts a round. It's hard to think of a more boring boxer on the eye.

Apart from the one match against Williams, I'll give him credit for that, I can't think of a less entertaining fighter.

I also think this last second knockdown of a totally cooked Sprott, has gone to peoples heads a little.

We hoped this day would never come but it edges closer. I still have a glimmer of hope in me that Haye will be against Adamek and Audley will be on the undercard against a legit fighter so if the fight is made next then at least it has some worth. Its doubtful but I will keep hoping.

If it happens then I hope Haye has a career threatening injury in training and never fights again.

Harrison will probably not engage, back pedal and hope for one big shot.

He's a professional fighter, who is paid to fight. You seem to be under the impression that boxers should be samurai warriors who only seek the best opposition.

Which is hilarious when you literally wax Floyd Mayweather Jr's knob.

Do I like a fight with Audley? No, as I've said ad infinitum. But so ****ing what? It's nothing to do with me and I'll vote with my wallet - namely by not buying it.

Simple, grown-up and free of hysterics.

You're not commenting by making a comment? How very post-modern.

'Samurai warriors', if you want to do extreams: you seem to be under the impression that fans seems to want to see two blokes standing in the middle of a ring counting their money like bankers and we are all supposed to cheer at the more they make.

Don't make excuses for them to exploit you, the marketing men to exploit you, you are the customer and should be full within your right to ask for what you want.

Now do you want to see Haye vs Klit or Haye vs Harrison?

I made my point and showed you that the sport is still not clearly not just all about money or even winning.

I'd say a growing part/one part of the reason we don't get to see the fights we want to see, is because today we appear to have a growing legion defending boxers taking easy pay days against relatively useless opponents.

I disagree. Don't kid yourself, boxers taking easy defences for the money at the expense of the more difficult fights the fans wanted to see has always happened. Even most of the great champs have soft defences mixed in with the great fights.

Its just a matter of being patient. Thats how unification fights usually work, a few "cash ins" on belt before the "big fight". Everyone wanted to see Leonard-Hearns in 1980, it happened in 1981, people wanted Tyson-Spinks in 1986, it happened in 1988, Don Curry-MCCrory was wanted in 1984, it happened in 1985 etc, etc,etc.....people want Haye-Wlad in 2010 but we'll just have to wait.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen, it does, it has. I really don't quite see how that means that is should be defended and applauded though.

I'm saying defending it and excusing simply encourages it - of course it does. I'm not going to do that, defend a fight with Harrison, but you are more than welcome too if that's what you wish to see, it however is not something I will applaud.

    'Patient?'

I've been very patient with David haye, I think many people have.

I'm really surprised that people are vigorously defending a fight with Harrison, I really am.

I'm not going to "applaud" it but its a fine line between "defending" and "explaining". I'm trying to explain, if that comes across as defending then sorry, its not my intent.

But lets not kid ourselves that this is a new phenomenon and that Haye is doing something thats never been done before in boxing before try and shift the blame for these type of fights happening onto to those of us who are just pointing those two facts out. Thats just not the case and I could list you dozens of similar situations to this over the years in boxing.
