The WBA already recognizes two world champions at middleweight. Felix Sturm, designated as WBA middleweight super champion and Gennady Golovkin as WBA interim champion. Now there are reports that Golovkin will be passed over for an opportunity to fight for the WBAs vacant regular middleweight world championship and WBA #2 rated Hassan NDam NJkam will face #3 rated Avtandil Khurtsindze for that belt which doesnt sit well with Team Golovkin. According to FIGOsport, if Golovkin isnt offered a chance for that title, his management may ask the Association of Boxing Commissions to look into the matter. Baically they're trying to make N'Jikam fight some bum for the "regular" title instead of Golovkin fighting Sturm or N'Jikam. They want three champs because they are ****s.
They did the same at Super-Bantam with Caballero as ''Super'' champion, Dunne as ''regular'' champion and Poonsawat as ''interim'' champion, what a load of bull****.
Yeah, I read about this. They should stop sucking at life and make it between N'Jikam and Golovkin for the title.
And you can bet it will be a long time before either of these two will get the chance to fight sturm while they are wrapped up in mandatorys and other crap that comes with these belts
They are absolutely shameless. The fighters should stop enabling them by paying sanctioning fees and fighting for their meaningless titles. I know some people will say that being a world champion gets a fighter more money and bigger fights but titles these days (especially the WBA's) are so devalued, they're basically worthless. Three world champions from one organisation in one weight class? Sickening.
