We all knew that Manny Pacquiao would be undersized next to the tall frame of Antonio Margarito, but some of the pictures that have been circulating the General Forum have really emphasized the size differential. Some fans have dismissed this event, calling it a disgraceful mismatch. This is the one time that Manny isn't going to magically appear bigger than his opponent when it comes time to weigh in on the scales. Margarito is significantly bigger and known for his ability to absorb punishment.

    Pacquiao fans, are you nervous?

I'm not nervous because I don't care if Margo wins but I do think he's getting very underrated by Pac fans and detractors alike.

I'm not nervous at all. Margarito is slow as ****. Yeah he hits hard but how hard without bricks? Pac took Cotto's and Clottey's best punches and didn't even flinch. Both fought Margarito already. Should be a good tune up fight at jr. middleweight. If Pac does great at that weight, expect to see Pacquiao challenging fighters at that weight class if Maynever ends up ducking him forever.

Very nervous. Just watched the L.A. Press conference where both of them were sized up against each other and Margo is much significantly larger in frame and height. People like to say "Oh Mosley messed him up it will be an easy night for Pac" these are the people who still havent accept the concept of styles make fights. Mosley had size and was landing overhand rights at will on Margo, Pac wont have that benefit since he is too undersized. Pacquiao will have to fight very smart in this fight, it is far from an easy nights work. Margo is hungry and wants redemption badly this is the perfect opportunity for him get it.

I am a bit nervous.... i think people are going overboard on how easy this fight will be for Pac, and i can easily see this turning into a rough outting if Pac doesnt stick to his skills around the 5th, 6th round. Hopefully Pac can stick to his skills, but still wow the crowd as usual. Margarito will be there to win though, this is no Clottey that pac will be dealing with.

I find that there are more Floyd fans saying Margo has no chance than Pac fans do simply because they dont want to give Pac any credit whatsoever if he beats Margo and/or if Pac struggles the slightest against Margs they'll be over it with the "Floyd just whooped the guy that destroyed the guy who gave Pac all he can handle...therefore it is a given that Floyd destroys Pacquiao the fight does not need to happen bring on Matthew Hatton ! "

And he doesn't have the kind of snap in his punches to turn things around with a few solid connects.

  10. Mayweather ducks Margarito. Pacquiao cherry picks Margarito.

    More at 11.

One of the few times Boom Boom is right, style do make fights.
One of the things that Margarito does well is punch when the other fighter is punching. It served him oh so well against Cotto.

The way Mosley fought Margarito did'nt give him the room to punch with him.
Mosley was actually bodying up Margarito and using his physical strenghth to back him up

Mosley was actually up close with Margarito and tying his hands up, then he'd make a move, use and angle and fire right hands.

Pacquiao does'nt have the physical strenghth to back up Margarito, so Margarito is going to have the chance to come at Pacquiao with a head of steam throwing shots, the way he did vs Cotto.

Pacquiao not being the type to body up and get in close for infighting, is going to give Margarito the room to punch that he did'nt have vs Mosley.

.....lots of dodging and footmovement will be the key to victory for Pacquiao. The fans at Cowboy stadium are showing up wanting to see a war. I dont think its going to serve Pacquiao well if he obliges them.

Why, kirk? You're effectively saying Margarito is still prime effective to make that sort of suggestion. Miguel Cotto went to high speed precision war with Pacquiao and got crushed. Margarito will have trouble finding Pacquiao. Did I mention Margarito's punch resistance seal has been thoroughly cracked and crushed open? Again, why, kirk?
