    Good stuff. Conversely, I think Roach is going to send Pacquiao in there with instructions to empty both barrels from the outset and at every opportunity, so we're absolutely looking at this from polar opposite points of view. Margarito ain't Margarito anymore. Hope I'm wrong, hope you're right, it will make for a better fight. Beautiful to see some tactical breakdown though, kirk. We need more of that around here.

    Margarito has fought since fighting Mosley, and although he did get stopped, it wasn't as a result of a single shot. It was many rounds of sustained, brutality. As I've said before, I find it possible that Margarito can still sport a good beard against capable punchers. I do think Manny will win, his opponent this time around, although bigger, is too easy to hit and one-paced.

    Not a biggie and im sure you already know but just slipped, but Marg has fought since the Mosley fight, just wasnt a big fight, your point still stands tho.

    On the surface i agree that Marg is made to order for Pac, but i think Marg holds a few qualities as a fighter, adding to his complete size advantage, that can make things interesting. He is not just a big david diaz, imo, which is what i think people are trying to make him out to be.

    But perhaps im off base and Pac mows through him....

    Based on Margarito's last performance, I don't think Pac has anything to worry about.

    What basis do you have for stating that Margarito can no longer take a good shot? There have been cases like Ricardo Mayorga, but Boxed Ears and myself have also offered counter-examples. Evander Holyfield, Marco Antonio Barrera, George Chuvalo, George Foreman, are all fighters who after being stopped for the first time, went on to compete in many more fights, tough fights, and sport impressive punch resistance. This isn't speculation or my opinion, these are irrefutable facts.

    If Freddie Roach convinces Pacquiao that he has to fight in and out and laterally and not get into a trading war with Margarito, then Pacquiao wins a UD..........

    One thing that should be of concern to Pac fans is that Roach commented after the Cotto fight that he wanted Pacquiao boxing and away off the ropes vs Cotto, and that he was'nt listening to him........
    ......he does this to Roach in the Margarito fight, in my opinion Pacquiao is going to get beatdown by Margarito.

    ......one thing to mention about Margarito, he's going to be coming and throwing shots whether they hit Pac's face, body, arms, elbows and shoulders.
    Its quite possible Margarito may wear and slow Pacquiao down just by hammering the little guys arms and shoulders.

    i based my opinion when pac fought clottey. Margo would be bigger than the clottey that fought pac now that the fight is @ 150. Margo may just be too big for pac to KO. I expect pac to win by UD though...

    Barrera just got caught with a big shot vs Jones tho, Margarito was severely beatdown by Mosely + Barrera`s defence is far superior to Margarito`s, he hadnt took nowhere near the abuse Margarito had took leading up to these KO losses.
    I will be very suprised if Margarito can take everything Pac will throw at him & come out victorious... pleasantly suprised that is.
