Its officall, on behalf of Sky Sports News: Audley Harrison will face David Haye November 13th MEN Arena Manchester. I will upload the conferance when i can. G
In a sense, Haye was smart to draw out the process of announcing this fight to take away the shock factor- but it doesn't alter the fact that he decided to fight Audley Harrison instead of a unification with heavyweight number 1 Wladimir Klitschko :deal
I wanna see Haye's name with ink on the paper...... I think Harrison's name with ink has been dry on the paper for a week or two....... Haye is a jaggov..... This fight don't need any added hype or bad pub to sell this thing in England..... "Haye-Harrison" is gonna be a monster seller in Britain and Europe...... It'll do okay on PPV here in the USA...... MR.BILL
Hope not because I am comtemplating going as I went to haye ruiz as the MEN is only forty minutes away from me.
I'll do the typical 30 USA dollars for a fight like "Haye-Harrison" any night before I do 55 to 60 USA dollars for the lousy "Pack-Margo" smokescreen in Texas..... PPV is way outta control in 2010....... MR.BILL:bbb:deal
i see it this way if im david haye and im getting 80% and deservedly so of a massive seller in the uk (whitch i think it will) then thats very good money and the risk/reward factor would be huge now compare that to 50-50 of haye klit does haye really make an awfull lot more with that fight ,im sure he makes more but not a great differance imo, anyway after hes lined his pockets once more he can fight a klit and then another klit if he wins theres the three fights he plans on having before he hangs them up all massive sellers and very good for his bank ballance i know he said he was gonna do this and gonna do that but hes got himself into a great position and has decided to make the most of it and in this sport can you ****ing blame him .i hate talking about money but you have to except that its part of the process how many great fighters are now broke ,we need to look at it from a finacial standpiont aswell i also hate these clowns that say "he should fight him because of ......" no fighters fight were they can get the most money and if that means the biggest earners are the best fights then great for us bottom line i would rather he take on stiffer opposition but hes looked at the figures and seen harisson by far makes him the most money barring the drago brothers and aslong as he smashes harrison up in great ahion and the klits provail agaist there equally **** opponents then unification in early 2011 could be ****ing huge
I know I'm in the minority but I really don't have a problem with this fight. We all know this is about money. It is disappointing that after all the Klit baiting that we end up with Audley Harrison as an opponent but "if it don't make dollars it don't make sense." Yes seeing an Adamek fight it would've been brilliant but would it be a £10mill fight, no way in hell. Povetkin yes another interesting fight for the purists but in no way does it catch the media's imagination or the casual fans and it would not sell out an arena like the M.E.N. If Haye is wanting to walk away next October 2011 then he really isn't interested about cementing a heavyweight legacy over a long duration by fighting the likes of Adamek, Povetkin etc. He's doing this for the £s and who can blame him for that. And personally nothing would satisfy me more than to see Harrison taken out in the fashion that Enzo Mac was by Haye. Audley's might be right about his left hand landing. But Haye's never gonna be in his range for him to detonate one. Audley's a plodder with good ability and against other plodders he can make himself look good. But Haye's speed is the telling factor here. And we've all seen what Audley does when an opponent applies pressure he shits himself. There's good needle here which I like, the media interest will be huge and it will spread to America eventually. Regardless of what the likes of Dan Rafael think if Haye blows him away violently inside three it will still send a message. A Klitschko fight will happen but it's gonna need an independent negotiator to sort it. If Haye is going in 12 months he's got two fights left after this one imo. If it aint gonna be a Klit then one will certainly be in the States in against Adamek.
