Exactly Billy don't listen to the muppets. He didn't seem lethargic to me when he was throwing his bombs (throughout the fight might I add). Utter BS typical excuse you here from Boxers when they lose.

It's as original as "We had a bad camp - that wasn't the real <insert fighter's name here> in there tonight."

It's amazing how it's only AFTER losing they talk about a bad camp, and how they lose because the fake <insert fighter's name here> was in the ring.

Wouldn't it be better to just sort your **** out?

Doesn't nearly every fighter come off with some variation of this excuse after they lose? This **** is par for the course. No big deal.

:verysad No. Let's assume Martinez wasn't right, and even then he still had Burns doing a dance several times during the fight. A better conditioned Martinez gets the job done. If what he says is true...

Funny cos he was full of life as he ran and smiled to the ring........not exactly the signs of a weakened man..

He got pumped. The shots did get off, Ricky just soaked them up and threw better, more accurat ones himself.

Ricky refused to hold on to his opponent and fought like a warrior , he was either gonna outslug the slugger or go out on his shield. He was just too good for martinez and thats about the size of it

he didn't look ill at all and his power was all the had that night he was outhustled.i can understand why fighters say this i know how much losing a fight in a rundown hall with 2 people watching hurts, i don't want to know how losing your title in front of a huge crowd feels

Erm, wasn't the fight officially contracted to be at 130lbs??? So basically Martinez' excuse is he couldn't get an unfair advantage going into the ring???

There are only two words to sum up the only excuse why Martinez lost: RICKY BURNS. End of.

Maybe the body shots Ricky was landing had something to with rocky not thrown a lot in the latter rounds
