I think if I were him, I would stay away from Glen Johnson. He's a tough SOB.

    :yep:!:

That's about it. No way to even try to "beef up" a win over Manfredo, other than the fact Kelly will be "In The Ring" as oppossed to "Sittin' on his ass in Youngstown".:p

Should be good PR for Kelly if nothin' else.

Andrade would be the perfect opponent. To bad he fights under GB.

besides manfredo i don't think any of these fighters are known for speed. manfredo is not even that fast but faster then the rest i mentioned. those other fighters are perfect for pavlik because they only fight one way and that's coming foward. i think librado andrade is a good fight for pavlik too. my ideal fight for pavlik is allan green in a crossroads fight. both coming off losses. but i don't know green's status with showtime. can he go to hbo for this fight and come back to showtime for his guranteed title shot?

i clearly did not like what i saw in the cloud fight from johnson. as much as i like johnson i think pavlik takes him in a ud. a few years ago would have been completely different story. but johnson has a name and money has never been much of an issue for this true warrior.

i read they will fight up to 164(ish) which i don't agree with totally. fight at 160 to see if you still can or move up to 168.

would be fun while it last. and kp being on an undercard basically means he's looking for a fight where losing is nearly impossible.

I agree...but I think Pavlik realizes he is not elite at 168....and at 175 he would completely be a non-factor. Last I heard he was mulling over staying at 160. The bottom line is, if Pavlik ever wants to become a better fighter, he needs to ditch Jack Loew and get somebody that can teach him something other than "Double the jab and throw the right hand".
