Exactly. They're trying to make Maidana only take $750k or whatever, when he's ENTITLED to $900k.

Then they are putting out stories off Maidana asking for too much! It's what he's ENTITLED too in the WBA rules!

    That's LOW BALLING 101.

Well 750k is more than twice his highest payday, he should take it, if he is so certain that he'd knock out Khan 750k is easy money.

He's entitled to 900k. It's irrelevant what his past paydays are.

I understand that, but 750k relative to his previous earnings is very good, he wouldn't earn close to that in fights with Bradley or Alexander.

So what? It's his right as interim to get 45%. Why would he take any less?

$2m pot, Khan as champ gets 55% ($1.1m) and Maidana 45% ($900k) and they fight, but nooooo, Khan has to have more money doesn't he?

Fair enough, but if I was Maidana I would rather take the fight at 750k, then not at all, chance to knock out Khan, win the title outright, and 3/4 of a million dollars.

No Khan Isn't. He had to take a paycut in his last fight. Why is that if he's 'guaranteed' 1.25?

I still don't understand where that bull**** came from.

His 3 fight contract with GBP stipulates he will get 1.25 million per fight. However, in his last fight he took a paycut, because otherwise the fight would not have happened due to HBO's offer being so low

If it's contractually your right to get 45% of a deal, why would you take any less? :hey

When you are a World Champion the record padding of light hitting fighters should be a thing of the past and the best should be fought. No matter how **** his chin is he is now scraping world level and should fight non other than world level fighters.
