Im not here to talk ****, just seeing how idle he is , watching videos of him partying , the looong vacations , in all honesty he prob wont be back till the summer , im not asking how long till hes shot im asking how long till he begins to noticably fade as in loss footwork and speed/reflexes ?

He's already slowed. Nothing drastic though.

If you compare the Young Mayweather who fought Judah and Hatton you can see a difference in speed between that one and the one who fought Marquez and Mosley.

I don't think he should fight beyond 35. Floyd doesn't look like someone who loves fighting enough to stay in the game for that long anyways.

I'm gonna guess you never say Floyd when he was lighter...

1 or 2 years...he's added more muscle since he has come back from "retirement", so I'd say that maybe why he has slowed a touch.

But if he takes another long break, and say doesn't get back in the ring by the end of 2011...that's when I'd say he'd probably show the signs of his age and inactivity, especially if he jumps in with Pacquiao in his next bout.

I hope he retires if he doesn't even fight at all in 2011. All that extreme inactivity starts to get annoying to his fans.

It's hard to say. I chose 3 to 5 years. After Manny I think he goes on to fight either PW at 147 or Martinez at 154. Not sure though anything can happen.

Yep...would it really be the best fighting the best if Mayweather were not to fight Pacquiao by the end of 2011 at the earliest? Mayweather will definitely not be at his best with that inactivity...and with Pacquiao fighting twice a year...

I think this bout will be very competitive when it happens...but Mayweather's inactivity could be the deciding factor.

His reflexes are not like they use to be like a couple of years ago. JMM and Mosley showed that he can be hit. Luckily for his good chin, he is able to withstand such punishment. Pac's speed and output will give him problems. May be a reason why Floyd is ignoring him.

He's been hit as much before, if anything he's gotten more defensive as he has gone up in weight, but in the Mosley fight he put on more offense than has been usual.

I honestly think he can carry on fighting for another 3/4 years, and still be able to fight and beat the top competition. He's the purist of boxers, and has the ability to stay at the top longer than most others.
