What would you do if you where in Joppy/Holmes/Cotto's shoes fighting. Joppy/Duran Holmes/Ali Cotto/Foreman. In the same exact situation. Would you unload your hardes shots or would you show mercy by hitting him hard every other ten pitty pat shots to show the ref its poinless to keep going? (I belive Cotto held back)

Cotto did the "right thing" against Foreman. The guy who fought Casamayor on the Marquez-Diaz 2 undercard was holding back, but made himself look like an unskilled boxer while doing it.

Take every open shot and destroy them

They should learn that they should stop fighting.

Someone should destroy Holyfield so just quits already, as well as Jones.

Holmes arguably held back on Ali too. Ali would have been seriously injured if he had shared the ring with a guy like prime Tyson that night. 38 year old Ali should never be allowed to be in with the champion, he looked 50+

Fighters usually sustain serious injury from prolonged beatings, not early kayos.

throw a ton of arm punches and try to show the ref that they can't defend themselves, without hurting them.

I have a ton of respect for Ali, trying to get the ref to stop the fight before he had to kill Ron Lyle, and especially for Emmanuel Augustus for not going to Ray Oliveira's head when Ray started acting crazy in the ring. A fighter doesn't have to be a killer.

Against shot and old fighters I would go all out.

Against someone who endured an injury that is really bothering them (Foreman,Olivera) and the ref is allowing them to continue I would take it easy.
