Who else feels '11 Adamek would be tuff as nails for '53 Marciano? I sure as hell do.

I honestly think Adamek isnt slick enough to keep Marciano off him. Rocky grinds him down in the late rounds and outworks Adamek throughout the fight, a knockout is not out of hte question

This has gone way to far now Bill. I've kept my mouth shut in the past because I figured you were a drunken bum, but to suggest Adamek has any chance whatsoever against a prime Rocky Marciano is lunacy. Adamek isn't even strong at this weight, he had to get on his bike against Arreola and Grant not only because he was getting tired, but the opposition was much bigger and stronger than him. Marciano, who isn't a big Heavyweight by any standard, would walk Adamek down, eating every combination with a big smile on his face, before laying a Suzie Q on Adamek's cheen. The fight would be all over when this happens.

In Marciano, you have a strong, hard-hitting, Heavyweight puncher who seemingly never runs out of stamina. The worst possible match-up for Adamek. It's just a matter of time.

Sorry Mr Bill. This fight doesn't last 12, let alone 15. Old Charles or Moore would've ko'd him also.

Marciano was a small heavyweight, it's not really part of the argument, considering Adamek is a small heavyweight. Marciano fought Charles past Charles' prime, sure. But he didn't fight a good fighter past his prime. He fought one of the general consensus greatest fighters to ever live past his prime. Winning twice. Adamek's best opponent was Steve Cunningham at CW, I'd say. He got mashed up in a war at 175 with Paul Briggs. His "cheen" is good. He's an all-around good fighter, as you said. He's a little taller.

Is this a case for beating a great heavyweight champion? Because I'm not favoring him over a 39-year-old Vitali Klitschko or a 30-year-old David Haye even. Is there really any reason to think that a guy who could be found by Chris Arreola and isn't favored to even become an ABC champ during a very maligned era and has been mashed up by light heavies would not get badly hurt against Rocky Marciano? I don't think so. Roll your eyes though, I don't care.

Absolutely. Adamek gets hurt in this fight. I don't see any other outcome.

Adamek is a better heavyweight than LaStarza? ...I think you should be putting down the booze now, brother. I'm not certain he's a better heavyweight than Rex Layne was at the time he fought Marciano or Harry Matthews for that matter. And for Mexican, let's call those not great fighters, of course, but good, YOUNG fighters.

Fat ass disgrace of a fighter- Arreola was catching Adamek at times, Marciano would've ****ed him up, I do think Marciano came around at the right time but still, Old ass Louis, Charles & Walcott are miles ahead of most of today's trash.

    Addie,

I ain't that drunk, goddammit......... Whether you like liquor or not, I care less.... I do..... I like weed as well.... So what?

But, while I like Marciano on the whole, I do feel this '10 version of Tommy Adamek at 217 pounds is much quicker of feet and possibly hands than "The Rock" ever was.....

Marciano at 187 pounds is a Hall of Famer, however, also overrated amongst the post 1960s heavies who've held the same title... I don't see Marciano doing well in a time machine with at least a half dozen of post 1960 heavyweight champs...

NOW! This Polish mother****er named Tomasz Adamek is no wussy or gimp... Point being is, I just think he'd give Rocco Marciano a helluva time in a real fight of each man's prime years if this were possible in a time freeze...

    WTF?

Judging by the recent response here, we should just e-mail team Adamek and tell him to retire cuz he sucks ass and ain't worth a **** on a paper plate... I'm sure Poland would like to see these letters coming in, as well... Since the Polish folks are considered lame, nobody will care what they think... I guess Tom Adamek is a boxing clustered **** who ain't worth the hair on the crack of most posters butts.?.?

You Americans are all drama queens. Russians can be dramatic but we're kings at it. Notice the gender difference. Adamek is a fine fighter. No one said anything of the sort of him being ****. Just not a great heavyweight. Your H2H thread is checkers and not as interesting as chess. Especially when you're kinged from the beginning post. You should switch to vodka, it lends itself to realism.

Marciano would break him down and stop him around the 8th. Adamek would be game due to his heart but he would be damaged goods afterwards.

I dont like these Adamek vs ATG virtually fights. However this is much better than Adamek vs prime Tyson thread.

Adamek has skills, Marciano is powerful. Both are/were tough and have/had great heart, both are/were gym rats. I think that Adamek's jab would have played a huge role in the fight. Adamek having 4 inches advantage in height and 8 inches advantage in reach. If the fight goes the distance, Adamek takes a decision. Not underrating Marciano, but all these greats who he beat weighed below 200 pounds. Adamek at 217 may be just too big challange for Rocky. However this is boxing and Rocky may land a SuzieQ, as he did in the Walcott fight. Then even his granite cheen wont help Adamek...
