The Grandmaster of Feints?

Ah not so obvious one: Sven Ottke. He controlled a fight at times largely with feints.

 

Sven Ottke was pure poetry in motion. Smoothest boxer since Pea.

Hopkins employs a lot of feints.

 

i dont know if he was the grandmaster, but i thing buddy mcgirt was great at feints. i think controlling the bramble fight with feints.

I am tripping, or has Pep really gone unmentioned? He was the most outstanding I've seen as far as splicing the master techniques like feinting and angling seamlessly.

It seems that most of the replies so far are fixated on false punching and artificial distress. In the area of footwork though, few boxers have been as well versed at faking left and moving right, or vice versa. If he'd been big enough, Willie might have made for an elusive running back on the gridiron.

 

Feinting has been a lost art since 1920.maybe even 1918.
