Seems like he wants to fight into his 40s. In one interview he said he would fight till hes 45. Hes way past his prime and will be shot soon. I think he will end up being like Jones and Holy and fighting way to long.

Shane may well be the next indeed, and won't be the last also... I remember RJJ saying that would never happen to him!

I remember that too. Hopefully Shane retires after facing(and hopefully beating) Mora. The thing he has over Roy & Holyfield is that he has never been stopped.

Nah, he won't become a stepping stone. If he loses next week, he's done.

He's just saying this stuff about fighting for 5 more years because he wants to show that he is committed.

Well Mosley has a bit of an advantage over those two in that he is physically and mentally the same way he was 5 years ago, which was very good. Jones Jr. and Holyfield are not the same guys they were 5 years ago, and in Holyfield's case really since his fights with Lewis. Until I see real deterioration happen, Mosley can beat plenty of top fighters.

No he won't. Roy and Evander have gone this long because they have nothing to do after boxing and also they need money. Shane has his career in promoting after boxing and has plenty of money to make from it on top of all the money he already has.

Every fighter in the sport is an actor once they make it to the top and become business smart. They cater to the casual fans because the hardcore boxing fans will be there through thick and thin.

That and EVERY fighter must do whatever they have to do in order to win and try to gain an advantage one way or the other in the ring.

I'm afraid to see this happen as well. It sucks to see all my old favorites who were once so great deteriorate so badly. Then these kids comming up just see today's versions of them and talk about how they suck..
