Andre Dirrell is quite possibly the most physically gifted boxer in the world right now. However he does lack a fighting sense, but he improved greatly in his fight against Abraham. If he continues to improve he'll be a force to be sure.
So much is made of Dirrell beating a former MW champ by DQ, forgetting that Abraham had limited SMW experience and his big win at MW was who? Abraham has been behind in fights before, yet its made to sound like the first time when its Dirrell. Abrahams SMW resume isnt anything of note at all. Dirrell may have skills but he couldnt beat Froch who is a strong but limited fighter
1. Abraham has never needed a KO late (championship rounds) in a fight. Please inform me when he was behind in the championship rounds if I'm mistaken. :deal 2. You picked abraham to smash dirrell's glass jaw. :fire 3. Froch didn't beat dirrell either. He was givin a gift decision because of venue and an unconditional cheering crowd who screamed everytime froch threw his airball flurries. This is what persuaded the judges. Froch didn't land 6 clean powershots upstairs the whole fight. Froch was trying but all his aggression was ineffective while dirrell got more results out of his far less aggression. :deal 4. It was the gameplan to not engage froch that won froch that fight. That was the gameplan because they knew froch couldn't touch him if he fought in that fashion. When the championship rounds came, It was shown that froch couldn't hit dirrell even when dirrell became aggressive. So just like I said earlier, if dirrell had the gameplan to engage froch then froch wouldn't have lasted 12 rounds with him or would have suffered a long drawn out severe beating. If Dirrell and Froch fought this saturday, who would you have your money on? I already know you would put your money on dirrell regardless of what you say. :deal Froch wouldn't last 12 with an aggressive dirrell.
well the only real comparison you can make with abraham and ward is this..... abraham beat miranda in 3rd round ko in second fight. ward won by decision. dont underestimate abraham. who has ward fought instaead of kessler and green?
ok thats 1 good win so who else has he beaten ? and lets not forget abraham really isnt all that special himself his best wins are taylor who we all know was way past his best and miranda who we all know wasnt that good to begin with anyway just look at the froch and stevens fights id hardly call those performances of a fighter who has the lot. more like an amatuer struggling to adapt to the pro game
The Stevens fight was bad because no one wanted to control the fight. Stevens followed him around like an idiot at least Froch tried to fight while Dirrell didn't do much either because he was weary of Stevens' power. We all can agree Dirrell/Stevens was a crap fight.
First time Abraham fought Miranda he had atorrid affair, which would have been very close if Miranda didnt have 5 points deducted. I agree with what you say about Ward, he only has one real win of note against a headbutting win over an unwell Kessler who had only had 4 rounds in 13 months. But Abraham has been taken the distance by a guy that got KOd at WW and LMW with ease and didnt look like he had a good chin
I see what you're saying but no one forced Abraham to foul, that was his fault. As far as faking we don't know if he did or didn't but he was clearly ahead on cards so it wouldn't make much sense for him to do so. Dirrell got the better of him most of that night and it also didn't help that AA is a notoriously slow starter.
AA was up late in that fight but I might be wrong as well. I only watched it one time on youtube.:think Nooooooooo, I actually got yo mixed up with 46and0. My Mistake:good Please show me where you saw that or clarify if it was one writer or a consensus from a group of writers on those sites. I have seen this said and nobody ever post it when I ask them. Moving on though, IMO there is now way that froch beat dirrell through Scoring Criteria and the majority of fans feel that dirrell won based on any poll I've seen on here and boxing scene. By what landed, Dirrell got more results out of his little aggressing than froch got out of his high aggression. I guess everyone thinks it's easy to fight froch and not get hit with more than 6 powershots upstairs. And no, Froch didn't come close to outlanding dirrell. Where did you get that from? Punchstats are BS and only conveinient when suiting someone's arguement and that's why I never bring em up. I got eyes to see froch didn't land 6 clean powershots upstairs. While dirrell blatantly snapped his head back 40 plus times with straights and hooks. Then why didn't froch knock dirrell out when dirrell started whipping his ass in the championship rounds? Like I said, Froch couldn't hit dirrell even when dirrell became agressive. That is a FACT :deal that was shown to everyone. If you think he came in there with no gameplan you are crazy. I know you aren't crazy so you had to be able to see what that plan was and it was hit and don't be hit. He and shaw didn't realize how easy it would be to hit froch without taking damage. Dirrell also proved he could hurt froch which kessler couldn't do with 4x the amount of landed shots. AND FINALLY FOR DUCKING THE QUESTION: Who would you put your money on if they fought this saturday?
To reply in brief Punchstats are on Boxrec The 12th round is debateable in how you score it I read the report in the Ring and Boxing News myself, when I said this before someone did find it and post it. I was told that Boxing Monthly scored for Froch but didnt see that myself and cant confirm like I can the other 2.
Dam you are having as bad a time posting as me. I had to edit my stuff 3 times to get it out right with the quoting.
