He was getting stunned, outworked and hurt to the body. I don't really believe him. Every fighter feels **** after losing. They blame not getting off on themself rather than their opponent.

He needs to get some wins, get the rematch and prove he is better.

Martinez was swinging with shots all the way through the fight!! The problem was, after he knocked Burns down in the 1st round, he thought he'd be able to knock him out with another big shot and lost all his composure. I honestly think he under-estimated Burns and didn't know what to do in the 2nd half of the fight when Burns was visibly hurting him. That's what it looked like anyway.

It's just a standard excuse from a fighter that's just lost, in my opinion. Burns was the better fighter on the night and deserved the win. Let's see how Martinez does in a re-match down the road. I don't see a change in result.

From what I remember he didn't appear to have much trouble getting his shots off, but most of them were hitting fresh air!

    Maybe he was seeing double.

What a load of bollocks. If he wasn't swinging and missing so wildly he might have had better stamina in the fight.

He was crap and overrated thats the bottom line. No amount of excuses is going to change that.
