I think the boxing world would be on a state of shock for a few weeks..

just as was the case when Pacquiao defeated De La Hoya.

Though, Margo is the bigger fighter, Pacquiao has looked so invencible lately.

If AM hounds FMJ and makes enough noise, they'll fight. I can't see FMJ retiring @ this point.

You're right. People thought Oscar cherrypicked emmanuel, but DLH ended up getting beat bad. emmanuel's handpicking backfires on him if marg manages to miraculously upset him.

Margo fights the winner of Cotto/Chavez or the winner of Martinez/Williams. Pacquiao fights the winner of Bradely/Alexander. I expect Floyd to call out Khan next year then retire without facing Margo or Pac.

That is not an excuse, that is a fact. Anyhow, I don't see Pac standing and exchanging with Margarito. I think Roach will devise a plan that will have Pac darting in and out and using his hand and foot speed. It may not be one of Pac's most exciting wins, but it will save him from a brutal fight that he doesn't need at this point of his career.

It's only a matter of time before Pac starts slowing down. It happens to every fighter and Father Time will not excuse Pac.

Back on topic, if Margarito were to beat Pac by TKO he would need to fight Cotto again. No if's, and's, or but's about it. Pac would hopefully move back to 140 where he really belongs because these catch weights don't really mean much since they aren't being fought at either guys original weight.

To put an end to the conspiracy theories that he used the same pads against Cotto.

I think Margo would need to prove himself against Mosley before giving Cotto another shot. I'm pretty sure Mosley would be looking forward to that fight. I can see Cotto, Martinez, Williams, Angulo, and Kirkland all chasing after him and any of those fighters will be a worthy opponent.

There is always a what if factor. Nothing is certain.

If Margo TKOs Pac then everyone at 147/154/160 will want a piece of him. He'll go from being the most feared and avoided to most WANTED.

However, Cotto will no doubt pass on the rematch if that happens

As long as Mosley undergoes the same tests he took for the Mayweather Jr. fight, and if Mosley quits imitating his mini-Klitschko act which is jab, right hand, and grab until the ref breaks you up.

This is the best thing that could happen in boxing right now, Margarito will redeem himself knowing he did it clean... Pac would likely rematch in effert to avenge that loss, Floyd would further sit on the back burner since he doesnt have the urge any ****ing way to fight Manny.... and who knows we may just end up getting one hell of a trilogy out of the shocking loss...

This would be a much needed reshuffling of the deck.
