Who else feels '11 Adamek would be tuff as nails for '53 Marciano? I sure as hell do.

Umm.. No. Povetkin beat Chris Byrd and Eddie Chambers, two top 10 heavyweight contenders. Who did Adamek ever beat like that? Fat Arreola? 40 year old Michael Grant?

But could he REALLY lay a glove on Tom "Sweet Pea" Adamek?

When the Polish Pugilist utilizes his face cartilage to roll with the punches, there isn't a better defensive tactician in the game. Period.

I don't know. Somehow the old ancient never was Grant landed a meaningful shot that stunned Adamek... but he got lucky. Well actually it only happened because Grant got an African tribes-witch person type to put a voodoo on Adamek (Same one that put a spell on Foreman, she's like 77 now exp lvl 93 in wizardry). It wasn't powerful enough to crack through his Cheen, but it clearly penetrated his defenses with that one shot. It seems the only thing that can really stop this slick Whitaker-esque HW with a great cheen is his shoes...

Wow so easy to dismiss fighters to get your argument across, isn't it? One day Arreola is as hot as **** destined to decapitate Adamek, the next day he's a bum.

These historical comparisons are simply unfair. People have lionized these old timers and are evaluating them with rose colored glasses. It's the historical equivalent of grass being greener on the other side. Also, Adamek's career ain't over, and so far he's done pretty well for himself, without avoiding anyone. If he wins a HW title, he'll be the only fighter in boxing's history to capture LHW, CW and HW belts. Not too shabby, wouldn't you say?

Adamek is bigger than Marciano and p4p more impressive considering which weight division he's coming from. Marciano was fighting immediatly in the post war years, not a special era in HW boxing no matter how nostalgically you look at the past.

Again, Tom Adamek is a real fighter, while Alex Pov has gone back to school to learn how to become a real fighter....

Pov beating fat Eddie and shot Chris, neither of whom can punch for ****, isn't my idea of being labled a top-notch contender... Alex Pov has been protected and hyped since he came to the USA to go back to school and hide in the gym while being lectured by Professor Atlas...

Tom Adamek is age 33 and well schooled and well conditioned at 217 tight pounds who also happens to be very active in the ring / spotlight...

Adamek is the real thing, while Al Pov is a joker...

Adamek is already a proven contender and deserves to fight for a title. I don't think he can beat either Klit at the level they are currently fighting at. These are large men that move wonderfully for their size and use their physical advantages every minute of every fight. My opinion is that Adamek is the most deserving challenger available but will lose. I would pay to see him in a competitive fight with Haye before I would pay to see Wlad or Vitali Jab another opponent into a state of ******ation for 12 rounds.

"Peter & Briggs" are gonna exit the game soon here, so I see 2011 being the year for Tom Adamek and Alex Pov... Though I am skeptical about Pov since he's haired out from a shot or two at Wladimir Klit already...

2011 might be a bland year at heavyweight if somebody doesn't come out of hiding... The contenders / pretenders are pretty shallow...

Please do not compare Vitali to Grant. It's just not right. Next we will be comparing the Great Friday Ahunanya to Sonny Liston.
