This fight, the farce that it is, I feel has got more UK press coverage than the time Haye signed to fight Wlad & withdrew!.

When Haye Wlad was first brought to our attentions, it was on Setanta and although had decent profile and coverage, Hayes recent moves and fights has made him have a higher profile amongst the general public.

This publicity to the UK general public, if Haye dont feel the A-Force Bomb, will make his fight against a Klitscho a much bigger affair!

Right now, Although Im not saying Harrison is justified the title opportunity, this fight is the right fight for David & the Klitscho's.

Harrison is more well known than a Klitchso over here & this could possibly do more UK PPV's than a Haye Klitscho battle
(Can't believe I just wrote that!)

Anyone agree or will i be slandered?

Haye wasn't a HW titlist when he signed to fight Wlad, if he had signed to fight Audley around the time he was meant to fight Wlad it wouldn't have got much press. Its only since the Valuev fight Haye has become known among the general public.

Haye-Audley would not get more PPVs than Haye against either Klit at the moment.

When Haye pulled out of his fight with Wlad he wasn't saying much to the media (was he?), trying to hide his shame and keep the whole thing on the D/L.
Now that he's trying to SELL a fight with Harrison he can't stop talking again all of a sudden, but so far most of the coverage isn't exactly favorable.

Its generated (bad) press for the wrong reasons though. Very few are commending Haye for this. He's made himself look like an ass.

You won't be slandered, but in my opinion, you're wrong. THis fight will generate absolutely no international interest, zero. Booth himself said Haye would catch hell for taking this fight, and he will. It sets him back. As unpopular as the Klitschko are, there next two bouts will be broadcast on ESPN. Haye couldn't get this circus on America TV if he tricked out his wife.

The name Klitschko isn't so obscure over here. Vitali fought Herbie Hide, Lennox Lewis and Danny Williams (and unlike Harrison, he smashed Williams to pieces). Also a Klitschko-Haye fight now would generate far more press than it did in 2009 because of Haye's status

No offense, but UK boxing fans live in their own little hermetically sealed bubble. They don't believe fans in the US and abroad when we tell them Haye is a nobody in other countries. While it is true that the Klitschko never caught on in the US, even causal fans have an idea of who they are. Maybe 1 in 10 knows who David Haye is. In fact, in a recent interview about boxing, Dana While was asked to identify Haye. He didn't know who he is. And he's a boxing fan.

Sad thing is that this probably is a bigger fight in the UK than Haye-Klit. Audley is still well known to the general public whereas only boxing fans know Wlad. I wouldn't be surprised if this fight gets as many PPV buys in the UK as a Klit fight would.

Problem is, nobody else on the planet will give a ****. This won't garner any more US interest than the average Klitschko fight.

How about continental Europe? Does anyone even know who Harrison is over there?

I'd like to think that a future fight with Wlad or Vitali will generate more press over here than this farce.

Back when the fight with Wlad was signed, there were rumours about Setanta going bust and there was a general feeling that the fight could be in trouble. If Haye was out there now selling the fight (which he is very good at) backed by Sky's promotional muscle, I'm sure a fight with Wlad would be a huge deal.

Outside of the UK though, I'm sure this fight will be treated with the contempt it deserves.

Vitali never lost to Williams so there was no rematch. On the other hand Williams beat Harrison in the first fight.
