Wow. 10 times. I've only lived there 20 years so you must know more about my own country than I do. Yes there are Filipino racists. I never said there weren't. I just don't agree how you think the majority of Filipinos are racist. You must be one pessimistic realist. I watch Pinoy TV from time to time. I saw how Miss Philippines, Venus Raj, a dark-skinned half Indian girl from my mom's province, finish 4th place in the Miss Universe Pageant in Las Vegas last week after blowing the last question. Let me explain something to you, coming from a Filipino to a non-Filipino, not to put you in your place or anything, but Filipinos are more guilty of being discriminatory in regards to socioeconomic status than skin color. How the hell are you racist when there's only one race? :rofl Listen man, I'm fortunate enough to have been raised in 2 different cultures during my childhood. I speak English with no Pinoy accent and I speak Tagalog with no American accent and understand my mom's Bicolano dialect. I went to high school in one of Manila's best private schools and have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Miami in Florida. I've lived in Los Angeles almost half my life in a Pinoy community. My best childhood friends here were Black, White, Mexicans, and Pinoys. I am far, far from being ignorant as you may have hoped for. So please. Don't lecture me about the Philippines or Filipinos. You still have a lot to learn.

Well, that's good for you, but you are Pinoy, so you don't see the things I see. I actually talk to Pinoy's about racism and ethnicities and stuff, and they actually, say things that a lot of people would consider racist. like "you are very handsome, but you are black", or "I am taking gluten because I don't want to be black". Even the Negritoes in PI, like the Aita, are considered low class than your Spanish-blooded or Chinese-blooded Pinoy.

 

I think a lot of Pinoy's are more ignorant than outright racist. They just don't know because they hear what they hear and that's it. My wife and her family is like that. I am sorry if I offended you, but I have had to go over to your country and educate some that dark is not bad. The PI really does have a hangup about being dark. I did notice that Venus Raj is dark-skinned, but she's not that dark.
