Is Martin Murray from Merseyside? Where abouts is St.Helens?

 

A number of those have big potential. Some very exciting amateurs from Merseyside aswell.

It never dawned on me how many good domestic fighters come from Merseyside, I like Murray, Edwards and the Smiths, all pretty good fighters at British level and maybe better.

 

typically in general the north west is a hotbed for uk talent.

 

I like the look of Steven Smith out of the names listed. He was a quality amateur, and although he had an indifferent performance on Saturday...it's all part of the learning process, and he got a good 12 rounds in against a durable opponent.

 

Yeah, fought Simpson's fight after the first few rounds, still a good win though, Simpson's a good fighter.

 

Fowler's definitely one to watch. Tom Stalker is a World beater at the minute...beating all-comers.

 

Close bout. Couldn't argue with a draw (which I had it)...but could have went either way.

 

Hopefully he learns from it and it teaches him to fight his fight from now on.

 

Yeah definitely...Simpson was there for the straight right all night long, and when Smith threw it, he landed it. More straight rights, and more effort to hit the body...and Smith could have gotten him out of there.
