I see Magee winnning on Saturday but at 8/1 the Armenian is worth a punt. He is is not as bad as his record suggests.

    TV FOR FUREY AND O'DONNELL
    http://www.irish-boxing.com/stories/september10/sept10_tv_furey_odonnell.html

The leading story about Donnelly's lack of funding and subsequent unemployment benefit cut reminds me of Henry Akinwande, who suffered the same mistreatment while in training for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. In an age when it appears to be more profitable for our elite amateurs to stay amateur, I thought the dark days of Akinwande plight were well and truly behind us. Obviously not.

Tremendous news about Setanta/ Premier Sports reemergence into the sport. Anybody who calls himself a boxing fan, should now be putting his money where his mouth is, and resubscribe to Setanta ASAP, this new departure needs our backing financially, not waffle on boxing forums. :deal

Only back in the office today! Setanta will be showing Tyson Fury and John O'Donnell on Setanta Sports 1 at 9pm. Also, just to let you know that any of the undercard fights from Carl Frampton's bill that are not shown live on the 18th September will be shown in an extra programme on the 22nd September at 9.30pm

Hyland is sayin that casey is a step back bla bla bla, look at the cowboy he in with on saturday night 45 fights 29loses 13wins and 3draws, not in my opinion thats a step back, if im not mistaken hyland may have irish title etc but casey is no1 in ireland and 50 in the world with hyland rated 97, i think hyland shud put up or shut up,

Daniel Geale and Karmazin are fighting an IBF eliminator next month. Wasnt Geale a rumoured Macklin opponent at the start of the summer?

Yea but macklin got the eliminator call 1st against lorenzo and turned it down. I dont know why he did that as it could of been him against the very beatable sylvester next.

Until reading that boxing-ireland article on the Cubans I had no idea that Faccio had pulled out.

    Major disappointment.
