Haye-Harrison has generated more press that Haye-Klitscho

When you have the consencus Heavyweight Champion of the World (Haye) vs the linear and "real" champion of the world (A-Force) of course there is gonna be a lot of attention.

 

Yes! Thats what sparked my interest.I like old chop chop, he hates bullies and only beats bad crims!

 

So what? Its 2010! wladimir klitschko vs eddie chambers an american 35-1 title challenger. And the fight wasnt shown in the USA. what does that tell you?

 

It wasn't shown cause hbo feels back then the casuel fans couldn't tell both klits apart. Yes it's 2010 but when Vitali tko Arreola, it was a year ago on the same month september. Both Vitali and Wlad has been on tv networks on hbo, showtime way way way way more times Then Haye. Haye still hasn't been hbo lol.

The Klitschkos have zero profile in the UK, which is a shame.

 

lol yea but Haye has barely been a heavyweight for 18 months and made one defense. How long have the Klits been dominant? And the fact that they cant get on american tv even when fighting an american contender with just one loss on record tells me that the Klits arent that much more popular than Haye over there.

 

There's a good Aussie series called Underbelly that's worth checking out as well: all based on actual events in the Melbourne gangland wars. In the first season they mention Chopper, as the one cellie of his from the movie also appears in the series.

I read the first Chopper book and liked it.

 

Do you have you're head up your arse, or is it just me? Have you not heard that both Klitschko brothers have signed contracts to have their next two bouts shown on American TV, on ESPN. Haye has no such deal.

 

And trust me, I live in the US...no one has any idea who David Haye is. Casual fans know who the Klitschko are. They've been on HBO or ESPN a combined 20 times between them. Haye hasn't been on onces. So please, don't try to pretend like it's a wash. I live here and I know. No one knows who Haye is outside of the UK. That's why Kahn beat him to HBO. That's why he's fighting Audley Harrison. He's fight against Ruiz was a financial bust. He only sold 500K buys according to Skybox and he made 2.5 million pounds. About the same as that horrible RTL contract for 3 million Euros that Haye is still complaining about. And after Harrison, there's nothing. No big money fights on the horizon.

Which is less than the supposed 2.5 haye made against Boring Ruiz. Even though Wlad keeps a much larger slice of the money he makes. Haye has to pay promoters Sauerland etc. If we start comparing REVENUE's we will see far different figures. So dont give me that. The Klitschkos would in no way be able to sell even 500k ppv's in Germany. I have family over there. I know.

Like i said to you i think haye is being a ***** and ducking the klits and his excuse for not taking the fight, about the RTL TV money is ridiculous. Thats not even my damn point. My point is that David Haye has had one title defence so far at heavyweight. How the hell can you compare that to The amount of defences the Klitschko's have had?! The fact that HBO pulled the plug on them last year tells me that they are not popular enough to make it worth while for HBO to have them on their network. Im not saying Haye is more popular than the Klits over there. I never said that. But the Klitschko's damn sure arent in hot demand!

 

Its getting coverage BECAUSE the Wlad fight was avoided, and Haye has taken on a low level opponent instead.

THAT is why its getting coverage, cause its rediculous, and the public sees it as such, given that Haye refused with Wlad, AND Vitali.

Haye is seen as a British buffoon, hence, alot of coverage.

And Haye will never become popular in the States. Tyson frigging Fury is appearing on Showtime soon. Tyson Fury and not Haye. And this has nothing to do with his fighting style. He's exciting. But he and his management team have managed to get on the bad side of every single major American television network because of their ridiculous demands.
