Everytime this fight is brought up I read people saying lewis would KO Vitali in the next two rounds: bull****.

Lewis as ktfo TWICE whereas Vitali has never been KO'd.

There is zero proof vitali would be ko'd. none. people need to quit making BS guesses about this. claim it would go 12 and lewis would win, fine, but dont claim he'd ko VK because thats bull****.

I understand your position but honestly Vitali was a shoe in and Lewis didn't even train. Sure Vitali was owning Lewis being busier and landing some huge blows but if you watch the fight you can clearly see Lewis was coming back and dropping bombs on Vitali . You cant deny that. I feel Lewis KO's Vitali also in the rematch with proper training.

If not for the ring doc, Vitali was UNDOUBTEDLY, UNEQUIVOCALLY, and UNDENIABLY about to do his own apt version of "Michael Grant and what Lennox's footwear looks like when viewed at eye level".

There were far too many rounds remaining for ANY other conclusion. Lennox's punches were destroying his face and removing him from his senses.

I was at the Staples Center that night and Lewis hit Vitali with everything he had...The problem was Vitali never lost his legs whereas Lewis was on ***** street for most the fight and looked to have spent everything he had...Vitali did start to show some of the effects in his movement from the bombs he was absorbing when it was stopped...But, Vitali seemed to recover from Lewis' best shots really quickly up to stoppage...I really thought Lewis was going out but, I could see it going the other way too...It was a good stoppage and Lewis earned it with his fists...Neither guy deserved to lose that fight...

Good fight, and one that should have been rematched given the circumstances of the early stoppage. Effectively leaving the fight, as not finished.

Lewis knew all too well what he was in for, however, and made a wise decision to retire.

:patsch Since when is not being KO'd ever a sign you can't be? last I checked, the first time Lewis was KO'd, he had not been BEFORE...
